I’m not thinking it. This statement is just absurd to me. But… It’s not only wrong, it’s hypocritical.
Yes… Oprah is thinking it, the black community (as spoon fed by their leaders and the main stream media) is thinking it, and many on the left suffering from white guilt are thinking it. It’s all they think… because they all know deep down in their hearts that, unlike them, America is bad, and America racist.
America is neither of these things. They are.
Having Moved On:
The rest of America, Middle America and conservatives have moved on from this crap decades ago; despite the lefts and Medias depictions otherwise. Yes there are a few lone racist nuts and groups out there but they comprise a smaller percentage of people for the right than abject Marxist do for the left. What’s more, conservatives unequivocally reject these (racist) nuts while the left embraces theirs.
Main Stream Media Treatment of the Tea Party
Yet, I believe Oprah and much of the left really believe the rest of the country (and certainly the loyal opposition) oppose Obama because of his race. Our questions about the content of his character, the effectiveness of his policies… ignored. Yet because of race, much of the left won’t even consider the possibility or even a valid argument that Obama is lacking in any way.
Qualities and Qualifications:
Barack Obama had two overwhelming qualities (some thought them qualifications) that propelled him to the highest office in the land.
1) He is not George W Bush. And for THIS he won a Nobel Peace Prize.
2) He is black.
Other than that, what were his qualifications? Community organizing? Teaching college classes? Had he been white (or even worse a white conservative) his credentials would have been laughed off as a joke. But not Barack Obama. He overthrew the anointed one; Hillary Clinton, for the Democratic nomination and eventually the Presidency.
Granted, Barack Obama’s education alone, perhaps elevates him beyond serving Bill Clinton and Ted Kennedy coffee.(1) But Senator? Much less President? He is hardly even qualified to be a low level aid for either office.
Look, the man is bright. He’s smart. He’s charismatic. So I would even agree that Barack Obama could have used his education and ability to accomplish something, anything, and built up experience to the point of being ready and qualified for something more. But he didn’t have to. He got to skip all that. Why? Answer…His race.
Barack Obama is one of the worst Presidents in American history. Future debates will compare him to Jimmy Carter and I’m not so sure Carter loses.
For the Record:
Foreign Policy? He’s had his ass handed to him again and again. The Middle East? Iran will soon have nukes (unless Israel stops them). Benghazi was attacked by organized terrorists and his response was to let people die, do nothing to those who did it, and blame it on an internet video. Meanwhile Syria and Putin bent him over a table and took turns. And through Obama, our allies don’t trust us and our enemies know our leader is a pussy.
Domestic? Divisive to say the least? Solyndra? Obamacare? Fast and Furious? Debacle is the very definition of Obama domestic policy.
Civil Liberties? NSA Spying, IRS targeting of opponents? Obama makes Richard Nixon’s enemies list look like a kindergarten doodle.
Economic? A doubling of the debt since he took office with no end to the massive spending in sight. But hey, the stock market has reached all-time highs! Because this dumb-ass has the Federal Reserve printing money out the wazoo to prop it up. Stop that and the market will drop 20+% and quite possibly much worse. And somebody (not Obama) down the road is going to have to do that. And where will the blame fall?
Conclusion:
So there’s a “level of disrespect for the office”? No mam! Respect for the office is just fine…
Our lack of respect to is towards the man and the lack of content in his character, wrongness of his policy, and deficiency in his ability… and that’s it. Our conscience is clear.
But is yours? To ignore all deficiencies ( in character, policy, and ability), simply because of the color of his skin? That is racist and to be blunt shameful.
