Adding insult to injury (costing them the 2016 election), Russian hackers still seem to be targeting leftist groups, hacking their data and then extorting money out of them to not release said data. The Russians generally demand “small sums” of around $30K to $150K in untraceable bitcoins.

See Here: Russian Hackers Said to Seek Hush Money From Liberal Groups

I think this is hilarious, but then my ox isn’t being gored here. Unlike the left, I don’t equate attacks on non-government political organizations as attacks our government or our election. Also, it would be easy for the left to thwart these attacks by following two simple steps.

  1. Don’t be hypocrites. Have your internal emails/data match your public face. Hackers don’t blackmail you because of your “Creamy Risotto” recipe.
  2. Be competent in protecting your data (obviously more competent than you are at doing just about anything else).

Of course, we are talking about leftist here. Those two things (authenticity and competence) are by definition, exclusive.

We know it’s the Russians because of the tools they use to access the data. In a TexasLynn exclusive, I’ve duplicated the means by which these insidious hackers have acquired their ill-gotten data.

WARNING: Liberals read no further!!! (If John Podesta fell for this what chance do you have?)

We (Western Civilization) have a problem. We have a problem with Middle Eastern relations, with Muslim immigration (and refugees), with terrorism (foreign and homegrown). The common factor and thus the actual problem is Islam; not “radical” Islam… just Islam. But why? Why is Islam a problem? Why has Islam been a thorn in the side of Western civilization for 1400 years? And why has it reached a point of being an existential problem today?

Religion - Islam - Freedom Go to HellWhy Islam is a Problem – It’s Nature:
Islam has always been, is today, and always will be a problem when exposed to Western civilization. This is because Islam (through the teachings of Muhammad and Sharia law) contain at its core the seeds of fascism, and terrorism. These are the two main fruits of that “religion”.

Islam produces fascism/totalitarianism, when those in control of the state (government) are Islamic. Islam produces terrorism in individuals (who are Islamic) when the state is not. Again, those two seeds are there by the nature of the ideology created by Muhammad; the questions is whether or not the seeds take root and when.

Two Conflicting Ideas About Islam:
How can this be if Islam is a “religion of peace” one may ask. The simple answer is that it can’t be. One of these premises is false. Either Islam is a “religion of peace” OR it is a religion of “fascism and terrorism”. I submit through empirical evidence that if you simply read the words of Muhammad (on the whole), if you simply look at the actions of Muhammad, if you simply read the moral and legal code found in Sharia, if you look at the overall consequences of Islam (ignoring the myth and propaganda)… it’s pretty easy to ascertain which premise is true and which is not.

Jesus (the non-Islamic Jesus) said “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing (a claim to be a religion of peace), but inwardly they are ferocious wolves (fascist and terrorists). By their fruit (results of their faith and actions) you will recognize them. (We have had 1400 years of Islamic fruits on which to base our judgment) Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.” (Matthew 7:15-20)

Religion - Christian - Bad Fruit

To wit, Islam isn’t some religion of peace (good tree) hijacked by a few extremists… it’s a religion of extremism (death, destruction, and slavery) sometimes constrained by a slim majority of moderates and secularists. The true, faithful practitioners of Islam (as intended by Muhammad) are the fascist dictators and terrorists.

islam-fascismSeed of Islam: Fascist State
In the case of a nation, the seeds (of fascism) almost always take root in an Islamic state. If the controlling authorities of a nation are Islamic, the results is fascism. The two words are practically synonymous. The state is brutal towards anyone who does not fall into lockstep with Muhammad (and his current servants). To resist draws attention, imprisonment, and death. The idea of a minority religion receiving protection from an Islamic state in exchange for “jiyza” is a lie that has never existed. “Protection” and “jiyza” is Islamic code (and an excuse from Allah) to subjugate, enslave, and extort… until the Muslim decides to just go ahead and kill the offending infidel population.

Moreover the fascist Islamic state finances and exports terrorism to some extent to other Muslim nations that aren’t fascist (Islamic) enough, and to infidels who must (by Muhammad’s command) be subjugated (enslaved) and converted (by the sword if necessary) or killed. THIS, is a key facet of Islam that the world has been subjected to for fourteen centuries.

Seed of Islam: Terrorists and the False Hope of Moderate Islam
In the case of the individual (when the state is not Islamic and the individual is), the seeds are much less likely to germinate. (Yayyy…) In fact, western society generally produces a “moderate” Muslim/Islamist with little interest in their religion. This tendency to not put much effort or faith into a religion is not a trait of Islam or Muslims but of mankind in general (which is also why you see so many secular Jews, and “Christians”).

So, “moderation” mostly occurs with “secular” practitioners of Islam who have inherited their religion by birth; but pay little or no attention to its edicts to subdue, force tribute, hate and/or drive into the sea… One might call these practitioners “luke-warm” Islamists. Fundamentalists Islamists would call them apostates and seek to convert, subdue, or kill them (in that order). This “moderation” is about the best a host/infidel nation can hope for from an Islamic community or individual.

The biggest problem with a “luke-warm” Islamic population is that they cling just enough to the religion to keep the seed of terror alive (buried… dormant… but alive). Eventually someone in this community bothers to read (and believe and practice) the teachings of Muhammad (and/or Sharia) and the next thing you know they’re shooting up an office, school, or nightclub (screaming “Allahu Akbar” and looking forward to a little virgin nookie). Even if the groups of refugees or immigrants themselves don’t germinate the seed of fundamentalist Islam, their progeny (latter generations) are susceptible to getting pissed-off at their adopted country (that they haven’t assimilated into for some reason). Once disillusioned, they fall back on the religion/culture that made their fatherland the hellhole it was (and probably still is today).

The greater the population of the Islamic community the greater the probability you’re going to have a spontaneous combustion of Islamic terrorist events (manmade disasters to those of you on the left). By that standard Europe is royally #$@%ed for several generations (if not existentially). The U.S. is… slightly less #$@%ed; and will reach the state of Europe if the left is not stopped from carrying out its fundamental transformation (as implemented by Obama and the left). Unfortunately, the damage (fruits of death and destruction) the relatively small number of Islamists will do and the terror they will inflict on society will really never go away. As long as Islam is present… that seed will be present.

Back to the “moderates”, I would have to agree with Winston Churchill (1899) that “Individual Muslims may show splendid qualities, but the influence of the religion paralyzes the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world.”

Yes… granted… Percentage wise the number of Islamic spontaneous combustions (in Europe and the U.S.) is small in comparison to the overall population of Islamists (though huge when compared to other races/religions). So let’s look at the good… moderate… majority… practitioners of Islam.

Generally, a “moderate” Muslim/Islamist doesn’t want to actually pull the trigger on the infidels of his adopted nation; but will “understand”, “sympathize”, (and sometimes celebrate) with the ones who do. They will scream with indignation (“they don’t represent my peaceful religion”) when Islam produces yet another rotten fruit (terrorist attack, socially abhorrent behavior, etc.)… but when it comes to actual action to reclaim their “religion of peace” from the terrorists? The “moderate” Muslim is the same as the moderate German (during WWII), moderate Japanese (during WWII), moderate Russian (during the cold war), and moderate Chinese (during Mao reign). The proper term would be IRRELEVANT. MILLIONS upon MILLIONS died during these evil regimes. “Moderate” Muslims are no more the answer to the evil Islam would impose upon the world if given half a chance than their predecessors.

Proof? Half (51%) of Muslim Americans support the implementation of Sharia law over U.S. law and over the U.S. Constitution for Muslim communities. A quarter (25%) of Muslim Americans believe “violence against Americans here in the United States can be justified as part of the global jihad.” (Source Center for Security Policy) Remember that Sharia would implement the subjugation (and death at the whim of Islamic leaders) of non-believers who won’t convert, horrific oppression of women, the execution of gays, the extermination of Jews, and the beheading of anyone who draws Muhammad. Islam is malicious by nature; Sharia is Islam on steroids. Half of Muslim Americans say “Yep… that’s what we need”.

muslims-moderates

And these are the “moderates” that are embraced by the useful idiots in the media, and the halls of power. Vladimir Lenin reportedly said “The Capitalists will sell us the rope with which we will hang them.” He was only half right. We seem ready to sell the rope to our executioners, but it will be to the fascist Islamists (not the communists) we sell the rope to, and the paltry price will be the warm fuzzy feeling of inclusion and political correctness.

Useful Idiots Embrace is Islam
By useful idiot standards, I am an Islamophobe, exhibiting a “hatred or fear of Muslims/Islam or of their politics or culture”. In my defense, I neither hate nor fear any man based on his race. It is his actions, his fruits if you will, and the fruits of what he embraces (be that a culture or religion) that I base any reaction to (hatred, fear or even respect). Also, a phobia implies an irrational fear of something. Being afraid of Islam is not irrational. Only a fool ignores an apparent danger for the appearance of diversity and open minded acceptance. Any rational man who loves life, liberty, individualism, and freedom should fear Islam’s encroachment and influence on our society. Islam, by its fascist and totalitarian nature, is antithetical to these founding principles. (Fundamentalists) Islam has plans for us; and the “moderates” will watch passively (and eventually celebrate) if that horror ever comes to pass upon America and western society.

Another scary aspect of this posting (concerning how far Western civilization has fallen) is that it would be illegal in Canada and Great Britain (two Western nations) and deemed a hate crime. It will be illegal in the U.S. soon enough.

Rome - Fall of EmpireProgressivism is to blame. In fact, progressivism is actually the existential threat to Western civilization. Islam will simply prove to be the barbarians who loot and pillage what remains when the progressives have their way. Progressivism invites the barbarian hordes through the gates. Progressivism seeks to destroy and dilute western culture. Progressivism makes it a crime (or at least socially egregious) to speak the truth (any truth).

The only solace the sane have is that the progressives will be put against the wall right after us.

Actually the real solace the sane have is found only in God and His Son, Jesus Christ! As bad as we (men) seem to make things, we (the sane) must remind ourselves that He is in control.

Psalm 97:10 (NIV) Hate evil, you who love the LORD, Who preserves the souls of His godly ones; He delivers them from the hand of the wicked.

Romans 12:9 (NIV) Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.

I heard an interesting analogy the other morning concerning all the whining from the left that Hillary won the popular vote and thus 1) should be President and/or 2) this delegitimizes Trumps victory and Presidency. This came from Newt Gingrich who seems about as tired of this as I am; and we’ve only got four more years of this incessant whining to go.

Having learned the new phrase “mansplaining” the other day, I wonder if this falls into that category. I suspect it does (though it’s not addressed to women, but rather leftist) 🙂

I’m paraphrasing and expounding on what Gingrich said here…

It doesn’t happen that often but every now and then a football team achieves more yards or forces more turnovers or achieves more of some other statistic BUT still loses the game. It seems that while they were concentrating on these things and having great success at it; the other team was more focused on scoring points. When the clock runs out the winner is pretty clear. Even the most die-hard fans of the losing team don’t whine, bitch, and throw hissy fits (too much). They don’t protest, or vandalize the stadium. They don’t insist that the NFL or the NCAA (college) change the rules to favor them in the future. And they don’t display the gall of insisting that their team be awarded the victory over technicalities. Nope… Hands are shuck, backs are slapped, analysis is done publicly and privately, some celebrate, some suck-it-up, and everybody looks forward to and begins preparation for the next game.

Hey, butter-cup… there’s a lesson to be learned here.

meme-nostalgic-pity-trainWatching the left’s reaction to the 2016 has been a mixed bag. Most of all we are seeing a full frontal display of the core essence that make up the leftist mindset; immaturity, violence, hatred, narcissism, denial, self-absorption, and entitlement.

It is telling that Washington is spending millions in preparation of the rabble that will soon be swarming the city to protest Trumps inauguration. They have no choice given the violence and millions of dollars of damage done thus far by “protesters”. But note this… While I’m sure this is a banner year, Washington has to spend this kind of money and does this kind of prep EVERY time a Republican takes the oval office (since Nixon). Every time a Democrat is sworn in… the cost and prep is minimal in comparison. Again, it’s telling…

The main thing we are seeing is the left lashing out like wounded animals or exhibiting the first two stages of grief/loss (denial and anger). They latch on to anything and everything to blame and explain what they cannot fathom. Villains and scapegoats abound; Jim Comey, Russian Hackers, Fake News, the Electoral College, and the oldie, goodie, tried and true… racism of the winners and the unwashed who put them there.

They know there must be an explanation of the loss of Hillary Clinton to Donald Trump. Like O.J. searching for the real killers… they will look everywhere… everywhere except at a Party/ideology out of touch OR a flawed candidate with a flawed message.

I am actually somewhat grateful for the childish display; because for the rest of America it is confirming. Maybe not so much that Donald Trump is the right man at the right time to bring us back from the brink… but that the left isn’t, never was and never will be.

So I’m going to write a few posts on what I’m observing concerning the various aspects of this leftist lashing out, grasping, and blaming.

So let’s get started…

The Electoral College

Let’s start with the Electoral College since it is pretty prominent on the list and relevant since they actually vote tomorrow (Monday 12/19/16).

The Electoral College was one of the first villains latched onto by the flailing left.

electoral-college-map

Again exposing the hypocrisy of the left, if the results had been as they expected (and predicted), Hillary winning the Electoral College and losing the popular vote, the left would be extolling the virtues and protections provided by the institution provided by the founding fathers. The left has no fondness for the popular vote, the electoral college or even democracy. They only care about power which they believe they are entitled to.

As punishment for not falling into leftist lockstep, some on the left say the Electoral College must be eliminated and the Presidency decided by popular vote. The electoral college after all is… wait for it… racist. (And you wonder why people roll their eyes when this crap is spouted again and again and again.)

But wait! The left isn’t really sure whether they should attack or embrace the Electoral College (at least for now). On one hand, they instinctively attack it because those numbers didn’t go their way… so it must be abolished. At the same time, they are saying “Wait! the Electoral College IS a safety valve put in place to stop this very thing (Trumps election), so that sane minds could override the ignorant electorate.” Thus the organized efforts to get enough electors to switch and deny Trump the needed count.

Case in point, Martin Sheen (and various other actors from “The West Wing”) produced a video seeking to get electors to change their votes, stating (as a group)…

“Republican members of the Electoral College, this message is for you. As you know, our Founding Fathers built the Electoral College to safeguard the American people from the dangers of a demagogue and to ensure that the presidency only goes to someone who is to an eminent degree and down with the requisite qualifications. I’m not asking you to vote for Hillary Clinton — just don’t vote for Trump… As you know, the Constitution gives electors the right to vote for any eligible person. Any eligible person — no matter which party they belong to. By voting your conscience, you and other brave Republican electors can give the House of Representatives the option to select a qualified candidate for the presidency… What is evident is that Donald Trump lacks more than the qualifications to be president. He lacks the necessary stability and clearly the respect for the Constitution of our great nation….

See… right there, that’s insulting. The balls it takes for a bunch of leftist actors to turn to the Constitution (which they pretty well detest) as the means of thwarting an election is phenomenal. But using the charge that the man who won is unfit because he lacks “respect for the Constitution of our great nation” is beyond the pale. To make this assertion after supporting Barack Hussein Obama for eight %^$#ing years! Hypocrites one and all!

Obama - Standing on Constitution

Sheen (and his ilk) pledge that anyone who votes their way will go “down in the books as an American hero,” will “have my respect.”

Which gets back to a basic biblical truth electors should consider. If the world loves you, you are of the world. The last thing I would want would be the admiration and respect of these shallow, worldly, @ssholes. They’re not interested in you, justice, democracy, or the Constitution; they just want power for their side.

So my stance is… let the left scream, stomp, curse, knash their teeth, rend their garments, and show their collective @sses… well, I mean more than usual… Once this little scheme fails (tomorrow 12/18/16), they’ll be ready to toss aside the evil, racist, Electoral College that just a breath ago was designed to “safeguard the American people”.

Side Note: In fact, the Electoral College was put in place as a compromise to get the small states (what would have been fly-over country back then) to approve the Constitution. Without it, those states would have been ignored in the grand scheme of national elections and politics. AND those (very valid) concerns should still worry fly-over country today. Luckily the Electoral College is literally Constitutional, making it nie-impossible to be rid of it. Good.

So Mike Pence took his family to see the Broadway play “Hamilton”. There he received boos upon entering from leftist in the audience AND a dressing down from the actors when the production was over. To his credit, Mike Pence was stoic and magnanimous in the face of adversity. He calmly and politely took the abuse demonstrating he was one of the few adults in the room.

This, or course, had made the news with a lot of commentary on…

  • Was it appropriate?
  • Do the actors owe Mr. Pence an apology?
  • What was the intent of the actor in addressing Mr. Pence?

I would like to address these.

    2016-11-21-11-pence-dixon-google-search

    Was it Appropriate?

    No, it wasn’t.

BUT… as far as leftist protest go; it is on the lower/positive end of the scale. The casts didn’t block traffic, they didn’t instigate a riot and do millions of dollars of damage, they didn’t burn or $%#@ on the flag… By today’s standards, there’s something to be said for that.

concept-hissy-fit-keep-calmStill, it was just another hissy-fit thrown by yet another leftist actor.

Do the actors owe Mr. Pence an apology?

President Elect Donald Trump has demanded an apology (via Twitter). So does Brandon Dixon (the actor who delivered the dressing-down) owe Mike Pence an apology?

Yes, but I’d just as soon Brandon Dixon (the actor) not give one. It wouldn’t be sincere; and I’m sick and tired of all that fake crap.

If by some miracle, Mr. Dixon sees the error of his ways, then I would encourage him to offer his apology directly (not publicly) to Mr. Pence and leave it at that.

What was the intent of the actor in addressing Mr. Pence?

Some have actually said the Brandon Dixon was trying to promote unity within the divided nation.

Nobody is that stupid. Anybody who saw, heard, or read his comments (and have some semblance of intellectual honesty) would know better.

arrogance-smirks“We, sir, we are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents, or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights, sir. But we truly hope this show has inspired you to uphold our American values and to work on behalf of all of us, all of us. … We truly thank you for sharing this show – this wonderful American story told by a diverse group of men, women, of different colors, creeds, and orientations.” — Brandon Victor Dixon (actor in Broadway play, Hamilton)

Imagine instead, if Mr. Dixon had said…

“We, sir, are the part of the diverse nation that is America. With the election now past, we all hope for your administration’s success in defending our planet, our children, and the inalienable rights of every American. We are grateful you came and hope this show inspires you as you work on behalf of all the people of our common country.” — Carl Rove on what Dixon should have said

“It would have been so easy for Mr. Dixon to have made his point and helped the country heal while doing so. So easy, but apparently that was not the actor’s purpose.” — Carl Rove

Carl Rove is right and again that’s the whole point. Unity and Healing was OBVIOUSLY not Dixon’s purpose, nor have I seen any semblance of that purpose from any leftist since the election. The only things the left is interested in is division, condescension, and hissy-fits. That was Dixon’s purpose (as it was the hecklers in the audience) and they succeeded brilliantly.

But they also succeeded in demonstrating to millions of Americans that they were right to soundly reject Hillary Clinton, soundly reject Barack Obama, and soundly reject shallow, irreverent, leftist ideology.

  • polls-states-2016Narayana Kocherlakota of Bloomberg just wrote a piece reprimanding the public for complaining that the polls were wrong in the 2016 Presidential election. Obviously we’re idiots who don’t understand what polls are and how statistics work. We seem to “confuse (statistical) forecasts with fortune-telling”.

Ahhh… it’s all our fault for not being as smart at Narayana Kocherlakota and other “expert” pollsters.

After informing us of our failures of intellect, Narayana then uses a sport analogy to try and educate us about how statistics works, then he offers another on a business decision concerning advertising, and finally a real life example of how Hillary Clinton used polls to decide not to campaign in Wisconsin.

His final point is that polls are really just a tool used by the campaigns and can’t be right 100% of the time, so we should just get over it. Move along… nothing to see here…

The key mistake Narayana makes in his attempt to inform and educate the idiotic public is that he doesn’t address our actual complaint. One that’s been around for years on the right, and that the left is getting a taste of now that it bit them on the posterior. The obvious question is why does Narayana not address the real complaint? Does he not know or does he just choose to ignore it? Both are indefensible.

So… in an attempt to educate Narayana… We, the public, are not pissed that the polls were wrong. We are pissed at WHY the polls were wrong. Why being that the science behind statistics and probability is constantly diluted with bias and opinion so as to produce bad results and an inferior product.

Statistics and probability are indeed used by the campaigns. They are also presented to the public as information/news. These two sets of polls are (obviously) separate products; one used to make decisions and one used as a form of news to be presented and consumed. It is the later product that the public been consumed and reviewed to be of poor quality. Consumers have a habit of doing that with products; just check out Amazon. We have also issued our complaint as to what we think is wrong with the product only to be ignored (and from looks of it will continue to be ignored at Bloomberg).

    polls-opinion

To offer proof of my point that the product (polls offered as news) are inferior when it doesn’t have to be, let me follow Narayana’s example and offer a real life illustration.

In the waning days of the election, the Clinton campaign put all of its efforts (Hillary, Obama, Bill, etc…) in states like Michigan and Pennsylvania. These are blue states, not toss-ups. These are states that always have been safe Democratic strongholds. And the polls indicated they would remain so in this election… ALWAYS forcasting a Clinton lead from day one.

If the Clinton campaign used these news polls as a tool to make campaign decisions, they would have marked them in the safe column and concentrated on toss-up states… but they didn’t. WHY? Because they didn’t use these news polls. They used their campaign polls. When they used unbiased and un-opinionated statistics (or pure science if you will), it told them something completely different. Their actions proved one thing… THEY KNEW the polls for public consumption were wrong.

So if the campaign polls were managed well enough to tell Hillary she was in trouble in safe blue states, it proves that it is possible to execute the science of statistics in a manner that produces more reliable and sound results. Given that fact it is easy to conclude that the Main Stream Media (including Bloomberg) is making a conscience decision NOT to do that; not to provide a superior product.

And for that, they have been called out… and deservedly so.

Matt Maloney is the CEO of GrubHub, some kind of Internet food-ordering company. (I have at least heard of them.) On Wednesday Matt made the conscience decision to send out an email to all 1400 employees of GrubHub. By Thursday there were various boycotts being organized (Twitter, Facebook, etc) by Trump supporters and Matt was in panic mode.

    people-maloney-matt-grubhub

Basically Matt Maloney was distraught about the 2016 Presidential election, explained to his employees that Trump and his supporters were miscreants, and stated in no uncertain terms that supporters of Trump had no place at GrubHub. The letter is littered with leftist dogma including safe spaces and the Hillary campaign slogan of “stronger together”. But the key message from Matt was “If you do not agree with this statement (that you will fight against everything Matt Maloney thinks Donald Trump stands for) then please reply to this email with your resignation because you have no place here. We do not tolerate hateful attitudes on our team.”

Unfortunately for Matt… someone leaked the letter to the public; which is hilarious. I love it when leftist’s own words and ideals go public.

    movie-star-wars-these-arent-the-droidsMaloney’s response was typical leftist.

  • Deny that what you said is what you meant.
  • Claim that what you said is “misconstrued” or “taken out of context”. You are the victim here.
  • Parse parts of what you said and offer a spin to soften your original message if not completely turn it around.

Unfortunately, this requires that you pretend your target audience is a bunch of morons who don’t have the brain cells to actually read and understand exactly what you meant in the first place. Fortunately, this is a natural inclination for leftist. To the rest of us, it’s really insulting. But don’t take my word for it… Matt Maloney’s original email (and his spin the next day) are found below.

Political - Fascist - SmileyThere is no question. As the CEO of a company (GrubHub) Mr. Maloney decided that approximately half the citizens of this nation do not have a place at his company when it comes to employment. This is a natural extension of a core leftist belief. If you don’t agree with them on homosexuality, you shouldn’t be allowed to work as a photographer or baker. If you don’t agree with them on abortion you shouldn’t be allowed to work as a nurse or doctor. This is the pattern with Matt taking it to the next step.

Logically, by extension GrubHub (as led by Matt) also doesn’t need or want the business of half its potential customers. Of course Matt wants his cake and to eat it to. He wants the punish the unwashed by denying them employment, but he still wants the unwashed to patronize his business.

    There are multiple problems here.

  • Matt Maloney is a political fascist seeking to bully and silence or better yet harass employees into quitting.
  • Matt Maloney is an idiot. He quickly acted on an impulse that was all about instant gratification and stimulating feelings of smugness and moral superiority.
  • Matt Maloney is a moron. He really, really didn’t give a second’s consideration to the risks and likely costs his personal indulgence would initiate (If the letter became public.) (Side Note: Do you not think a majority of Tech CEOs feel exactly the same way a Matt. Of course they do… they’re just smart enough to keep it to themselves or at least within a very tight inner circle.)

    grubhub-boss-idiot

What Matt Maloney didn’t do was take the time to think about consequences; think about cause and effect. And to be honest, that’s kind-of at the top of the list in the job description of Chief Executive Officer (CEO). So… Matt has basically proven he is not temperamentally nor morally fit to hold the position of CEO… for any company. Hopefully (for the sake of the company, the employees, etc…) stock holders and directors are taking notice.

Abusing your employees, and the public trust of your customers is one thing. Doing all of that and telling me (your employees and the public) that I’m a dumb@ss is stupid on a whole new level.

    Matt Maloney’s Original Email

    SUBJECT: So… that happened… what’s next?

I’m still trying to reconcile my own worldview with the overwhelming message that was delivered last night. Clearly there are a lot of people angry and scared as the antithesis of every modern presidential candidate won and will be our next president.

While demeaning, insulting and ridiculing minorities, immigrants and the physically/mentally disabled worked for Mr. Trump, I want to be clear that this behavior – and these views, have no place at Grubhub. Had he worked here, many of his comments would have resulted in his immediate termination.

We have worked for years cultivating a culture of support and inclusiveness. I firmly believe that we must bring together different perspectives to continue innovating – including all genders, races, ethnicities and sexual, cultural or ideological preferences. We are better, faster and stronger together.

Further I absolutely reject the nationalist, anti-immigrant and hateful politics of Donald Trump and will work to shield our community from this movement as best as I can. As we all try to understand what this vote means to us, I want to affirm to anyone on our team that is scared or feels personally exposed, that I and everyone else here at Grubhub will fight for your dignity and your right to make a better life for yourself and your family here in the United States.

If you do not agree with this statement then please reply to this email with your resignation because you have no place here. We do not tolerate hateful attitudes on our team. I want to repeat what Hillary said this morning, that the new administration deserves our open minds and a chance to lead, but never stop believing that the fight for what’s right is worth it.

    Stay strong,
    Matt

TexasLynn’s Commentary on Matt Mahoney’s Spin and Damage Control

Concept - Bullshit>> This year’s presidential election was undoubtedly divisive and left many of our employees feeling concerned. In response, I wrote a company-wide email that was intended to advocate for inclusion and tolerance — regardless of political affiliation — during this time of transition for our country.

I call Bullsh#t! Nobody… NOBODY… reading your original email would have thought that. Not even you when you wrote the dam thing. Your employees got the message loud and clear though. Especially the ones that made sure it was brought to the attention of the public and the stock-holders.

    >> Some of the statements in my email (please see full text below) have been misconstrued.

Again… I call Bullsh#t! Your message was VERY clear.

    >> I want to clarify that I did not ask for anyone to resign if they voted for Trump. I would never make such a demand.

Translation… “I am now going to pretend my email said something completely different and act indignant that anyone would think otherwise… This requires that I pretend you are a complete idiot and can't read and comprehend for yourselves…”

Granted, this was probably an impulsive decision; an angry leftist throwing a hissy-fit. But at a minimum, Matt’s intent was to shame Trump voters and intimidate them. So even if we give Matt the benefit of the doubt (concerning the resignation intentions), which I don’t… Matt’s actions and intentions were still repugnant and stupid.

Matt’s response to getting caught? Also repugnant and stupid.

    >> To the contrary, the message of the email is that we do not tolerate discriminatory activity or hateful commentary in the workplace, and that we will stand up for our employees.

As long as they share my (Matt Maloney's) beliefs… otherwise you are to get the hell out of here… Again… you made that pretty dam clear, Matt.

    >> Grubhub welcomes and accepts employees with all political beliefs, no matter who they voted for in this or any election. We do not discriminate on the basis of someone's principles, or political or other beliefs.

I'm sorry, your previous actions and lack of contrition are too loud for me to hear your spin right now. But keep going…

    >> I deeply respect the right of all citizens to vote for the candidate of their choice.

Really? That's the spin here… exactly where was that in the original email, Matt?

    >> In fact, I offered extra flexibility on Tuesday and encouraged all our employees to go vote.

So… you did what pretty well most/many employers do across the country and THAT is proof of your open-mindedness. Dude… you're flailing for a life-preserver here. Surely coming clean and a little contrition are in order by now. You, Matt, are not Bill and Hillary Clinton. Do you really think you can pull this crap off like they do? You're an amateur.

    >> There is a place for all points of view at Grubhub. We value diverse perspectives and believe those perspectives help to create a better product and a better workplace culture.

Blah, blah, blah, diversity… blah, blah, blah, culture… You have no credibility at this point.

    >> Grubhub’s leadership team has worked for years to create a culture of support and inclusiveness. I firmly believe that we must bring together different perspectives to continue innovating. We are better, faster and stronger together, and so is America.

"stronger together"… Thanks Hillary. You're just proving the point of your detractors. All I'm hearing is a bunch of campaign slogans and motivational posters being regurgitated as company policy.

It reminds me of when I worked in Houston (for a big corporation) and there was a hurricane headed our way. In preparing for the weather, the head honcho brought us all together and said “If any of you are concerned for your family and feel you need to get them out of the city, we encourage you to do that. Your family is our number one priority.” One guy took him seriously and left to take care of his family. The guy didn’t work there anymore a soon after that…

    >> Posted by Matt Maloney, Grubhub CEO

To quote our British cousins… you, sir, are a fascist bullyboy; and we're sick of bastards like you. I didn't even vote for the guy (Trump) and even I know it's ^&%$ers like you that are the reason he was nominated and elected.

In closing, Matt, screw you! Screw your fascist response to losing, and screw your company (GrubHub if anybody missed it).
