Obama Shred Constitution(Note: This posting is based on general observations within the Conservative community, and specifically on this piece posted by Charles Krauthammer (Amnesty as Impeachment Bait).

There are rumors (as pushed by the White House) that Obama is planning on legalizing up to 5 million illegal immigrants using executive order by the end of the summer. He says he will act (with his magic Constitution annulling pen) because Republicans in Congress won’t act.

It’s interesting that Obama may be prepared to take this action when not too long ago he was saying he didn’t have the authority to act in this manner.

“I swore an oath to uphold the laws on the books. . . . Now, I know some people want me to bypass Congress and change the [immigration] laws on my own. . . . That’s not how our Constitution is written” — President Barack Obama (July 25, 2011).

“This notion that somehow I can just change the laws unilaterally is just not true. . . . There are laws on the books that I have to enforce.” — President Barack Obama (September 28, 2011).

“If, in fact, I could solve all these problems without passing laws in Congress, then I would do so. But we’re also a nation of laws.” — President Barack Obama (November 25, 2013).

It’s amazing what a lack of integrity, respect for the Constitution, and a probable shellacking in the upcoming elections will do to one’s understanding of the rule of law.

Now there are at least three possibilities as to why this rumor/leak is being circulated.

1) This may just be a trial balloon. That would be the best case scenario; and if it is it should be shot down quickly and unequivocally.

2) This may just be a fundraising mechanism. Already the Democrats have raised over 1-million dollars in anti-impeachment direct mail donations from panicked lefties. If so… it worked and will continue working. To date, Democrats are something like 10 times more likely than Republicans to breach the subject of impeachment; almost always in a tizzy that the Republicans are planning it.

3) There is a rumor (or maybe it’s a conspiracy theory) circulating among conservatives that Obama does indeed plan to do this as… “impeachment bait”.

It’s this third possibility that is most cynical. It says that we have a President who is willing to throw the rule of law and the very Constitution in the garbage for the purpose of short-term partisan gain. The theory is that he wants the Republicans to impeach him (or at least publically consider it) before the 2014 elections so as to energize his base. The scary part is that it would likely work.

All the left (and the Main Stream Media) would need is for a handful of Republicans to fall for it in order to paint the whole party as conservative fascist out to get “Dear Leader”. The race card alone would be worth hundreds of thousands of votes that might not otherwise show up to the polls.

2014 07 00 - Oama as Briar Rabbit

The even scarier part is that if Obama did grant amnesty via executive order, he will have easily met the requirements of impeachment, but this nation is so screwed up right now it would still be impossible to convict him in the Senate.

“Laws created by Congress, not by executive fiat. That’s what distinguishes a constitutional republic from the banana kind.” — Charles Krauthammer (08/2014)

With his increasing attacks on the Constitution, Obama is quickly transforming us into the banana kind.

Main Stream Media - Bias - Bet Your Sweet AssSuspending Disbelief:
State Department spokesman Jen Psaki was actually mocked by the press on Thursday (5/29/14) after saying “[President Obama] doesn’t give himself enough credit for what he’s done around the world.”

Some would say this (laughter at that statement) is proof that the main stream media isn’t biased after all. They, of course, would still be wrong. There is, after all, a difference between being biased and being blind. What this really shows is frustration on the part of the press in doing their jobs… which is selling the liberal narrative that all is well thanks to Obama. When things are as bad as they are in foreign policy (and just about everything else) the people can only be led to suspend disbelief so much or for so long.

This also falls right in with the departure of Press Secretary Jay Carney. Imagine having the job of pushing this crap day in and day out. One has to ask “Do they put your soul in a jar for safe keeping while you do that job? Do you ever feel clean again?” Sure all press secretaries have to shovel crap to some extent. And chalk it up to partisanship; but I say the degree and volume dished out by the Obama Administration is well above and beyond what we’ve seen in the past (from any administration). There is little equivalency here; and of course the Republican Administrations have the excuse of actually being challenged by the press.

Political Cartoon - 2014 05 00 - Benghazi EmailsFor Example: The Administration releases emails from the White House that specifically instructed Susan Rice to lie on the Sunday talk shows concerning Benghazi. This only happened after a judge ordered the release of all emails involving Benghazi because of a “Freedom of Information Act” ruling. Jay’s spin? Oh… THAT email wasn’t about Benghazi… (all said with a straight face). To which a reporters ask “Then why did you release it as part of a court order to release Benghazi related emails?” To which Jay acts befuddled and repeats “That email wasn’t about Benghazi…” It’s the art of repeatedly pissing on someone and telling them it’s raining with a straight face. Normally the media doesn’t mind this from a leftist administration… but the public is increasingly noticing that they’re all wet (and stinky)… and that’s a problem when credibility has some effect on the bottom line.

OK One More: Any release of prisoners from Guantanamo Bay requires 30 days’ notice to Congress. It’s the Law. It’s the law passed by a Democratic controlled Senate and singed by Obama himself. Obama actually complied with the law in the past concerning some of the same prisoners but abandoned the idea when he got pushback (from Democrats, Republicans, and the military). Setting aside the wisdom or logic of the decisions, with the swap for Bowe Bergdahl, Obama decided not to follow the law?

Why? Was it A) Because time was of the essence (Bergdahl was sick) B) Because they has re-interpreted the law and decided it didn’t apply here OR C) They decided they couldn’t trust Congress with the information? If you answered D) All of the above you are correct. Various statements from various people at the White House have given all three as the reason for ignoring the law. It’s like these pople just throw crap against the wall to see what will stick.

People - Obama, Barack - Mickey Mouse Ears

This is but the latest debacle to demonstrate the overwhelming characteristics of President Barack Obama and by extension his administration:

  1. No respect for the rule of law. The rules and the law just don’t apply to this President.
  2. The propensity to lie all the time. These people would rather climb a tree to shout a lie when standing on solid ground and telling the truth would suit them better.
  3. No adult supervision. This administration can’t even coordinate its message/lies; which points back to amateurishness, incompetence, and a lack of engagement.

Again & Again & Again…
Meanwhile, this process of stating absurdity as fact (with a straight face) is repeated again… and again… and again… on every issue and scandal imaginable from the Obama Administration; Fast and Furious, Benghazi, IRS Political Targeting, Foreign Policy, The Economy, The Department of Veterans Affairs, and the Bowe Bergdahl prisoner swap…

It is well past time for the Obama Administration be called out on the absurdities they spout as answers to legitimate questions (no matter the source of the questions). Unfortunately, with the state of journalism today; it may be up to History to do that.

People - Founding Father - Jefferson, Thomas

“In questions of power, let no more be heard of confidence in man, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution.” — Thomas Jefferson

The founding fathers understood. Men… power… government… They did not seek a government that provided services and circuses to the people. They sought to chain government at every turn, knowing the mischief (read evil) unscrupulous and unfettered men would exact upon society when those chains were broken.

We live in such times. Such men walk the halls of power and mock the ideals this great nation was founded on. I have a pen and I have a phone… to hell with the Constitution and the rule of law.

Education - Common - Core - StandardsGeorge Will had a pretty good article on “Doubts Over Common Core” recently. The education initiative hasn’t been in the news lately which is exactly what its proponents want. They know it would be best to boil this frog as slowly as possible. Hopefully that will change soon and Mr. Will thinks it will.

“It is the thin end of an enormous wedge. It is designed to advance in primary and secondary education the general progressive agenda of centralization and uniformity.” – George Will

Education - Common - Core - HappyIt’s a wedge in that it is completely voluntary… unless of course you want some relief from the “No Child Left Behind” regulations. Nope you don’t have to do this one bit… unless you want your share of the $4.35 billion of the “Race to the Top” stimulus… Translation; comply or we will continue to bend you over the table and take your lunch money.

As we can easily see this is not exception to most leftist programs and initiatives. You can pretty well bet the arguments for and the planned implementation is disingenuous from the beginning.

Opposition is growing a bit, and the left is taking a page from the Global Warming folks in dealing with the detractors. Don’t actually address their concerns or debate them in any way. Instead, demean and marginalize them personally.

“It’s ludicrous to think that multiplication in Alabama and multiplication in New York are really different.” – Bill Gates (supporter of Common Core in addressing critics)

I’m sure those of us who don’t support Common Core are also “flat earth” espousing Neanderthals as well. This is what now passes for debate for the left’s perspective.

“Fifty years of increasing Washington input into K-12 education has coincided with disappointing cognitive outputs from schools. Is it eccentric that it is imprudent to apply to K-12 education the federal touch that has given us HealthCare.gov?” – George Will

Common Core (as Will points out) is also yet one more example of Barack Obama’s (and his administrations’) “indifference to legality.” Practically every act of law concerning education passed since 1965’s Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) (the beginning of federal intrusion into education) has language to the effect that “nothing in this act” shall authorize any federal official to “mandate, direct, or control” schools’ curriculum.

“Nevertheless, what begins with mere national standards must breed ineluctable pressure to standardize educational content… By a feedback loop, these tests will beget more curriculum conformity. All of this will take a toll on parental empowerment, and none of this will escape the politicization of learning like that already rampant in higher education.” – George Will

Like millions of insurance policies being canceled, Washington control of local school curriculum is not a surprise to Common Core instigators. It has been planned from the beginning. It is the end goal even though it’s against the law.

George Will thinks opposition is growing…

“Political dishonesty has swift, radiating and condign consequences. Opposition to the Common Core is surging because Washington, hoping to mollify opponents, is saying, in effect: ‘If you like your local control of education, you can keep it. Period.’ To which a burgeoning movement is responding: ‘No. Period.’” – George Will

Let’s hope he’s right.

In California a “Tax Board” (non-elected bureaucrats) just informed about 2500 small businesses that even though they followed the state tax laws; those laws have now been declared unconstitutional (by the state courts) soooo… you have to pay all those back taxes you didn’t know you owed (because you followed the law) AND you owe interest on all that money… for the past four years.

Rule of law? Common sense? Even common decency? These mean nothing to these leftist looters.

Don’t think they will eventually try to “tax” bank deposits (savings) as in socialist Europe right now? The only question is when. And the answer to that is “As soon as they think they can get away with it.” Which is the same questions robbers and pirates ask themselves all the time.

Remember that $831,000,000,000 “stimulus” package the President spearheaded to boost the economy? Well, “the most transparent administration in the history of our country” at the time, included in the law a requirement that the administration release quarterly reports on its effects.

“As part of the unprecedented accountability and transparency provisions included in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA), the Council of Economic Advisers (CEA) was charged with providing to Congress quarterly reports on the effects of the Recovery Act on overall economic activity, and on employment in particular.” — Introduction found in Stimulus reports.

Guess what this quarters, report says!

Ha… trick question. No report was released as required by accountability or transparency or LAW. So guess what last quarters report says! Fool me once huh… you’re right it wasn’t released. In fact Obama is four quarterly reports behind.

Obama intended for the reports to be a way to push propaganda; and they did for a while; but then the “stimulus” failed, the economy got worse, and even their fuzzy math became too much for even them to stomach. The last report released (January 2010) estimated that 1.8 million jobs were added “or saved” at a cost of $148,000 per job.

And THAT is using Obama’s bullshit numbers. “or saved” means they pulled the jobs number out of their collective posteriors. And even then the lie they thought they could get away with divided by the dollars spent came to 148K per job.

If the fantasy sounds that horrible imagine what the reality is. And if things have gotten so bad as they are not even willing to publish the fantasy numbers, imagine what the reality is!

Forget imagining; just use Obama’s own happy, fun, rainbow colored, fuzzy math.

  • 2010-04 – $167,000 per job added “or saved”
  • 2010-07 – $190,000 per job
  • 2010-11 – $206,000 per job
  • 2011-03 – $242,000 per job
  • 2011-07 – $278,000 per job
  • 2011-12 – $317,000 per job

And Obama and the Democrats think another one of these is just what the economy needs!

This is another example of Obama’s total lack of respect for the rule of law. Under this administration, the law is not applied equally to all; and especially not to the commander in chief.

  • Illegal alien votes mostly go Democratic… ignore immigration laws and border enforcement.
  • Military contractor required to give notice of layoffs due to budget cuts; which will happen to happen just before the election… Tell them not to send out those notices and that the law will not be enforced.
  • The “stimulus” becomes an obvious horrible waste of money… ignore the law and stop the reports.
  • And the laws and regulations ignored by this Justice Department and Eric Holder!?

A man who can ignore the laws of the land with impunity is not acting like a President; but rather as a dictator. And it is high time for this dictator to be exposed and deposed.

As a nation we:

  • Fundamentally abandoned the founding principles of our Republic such as individual responsibility, the rule of law, inalienable rights, & private property.
  • Accept as subjective the very ideas of truth, justice, good, and evil.
  • Proclaim our Constitution a “living document” so that it can mean anything; and thus means nothing.
  • Accept all cultures as equal, failing to teach our children our history, our culture, and the principles that made this nation great.
  • Betray our allies, while we coddle evil men in vain hope to placate “peace”.
  • Allow our press to degrade into a de-facto mouthpiece for a political agenda.
  • Accept as normal sexual promiscuity and cohabitation.
  • Accept as normal that 40% of children are born out of wedlock; setting in motion a spiral into poverty.
  • Allow fathers to shirk their financial and social responsibilities to their children.
  • Accept as normal/acceptable, homosexuality, bisexuality, transvestites, transgendered and other sexual deviance.
  • Try to legalize same-sex marriage (which seems inevitable); not to mention adoption by same-sex couples and other perversions of family.
  • Look upon unborn children as objects, as trash to be discarded simply because they are inconvenient AND there’s profit in the process.
  • Allow 50 million (that’s 50,000,000) children to be killed and ease our conscience with a nonexistent right “found” in the constitution.
  • Removed prayer from our schools, both organized and individual and now indoctrinate children with secular philosophy.
  • Worship false idols of the earth, nature, crystals, human hubris, etc…
  • Use tricks, statistics, and pseudo-science to push political and profit driven agendas with the truth be damned.
  • Wrap Marxist doctrine in a cloak of religion, misrepresenting salvation as a group ability to implement wealth distribution. (see liberation theology)
  • Riot when we receive a verdict we don’t like, when a professional sports team wins (or looses).
  • Reward failure, betrayal, and immoral acts with golden parachutes, and government bailouts.
  • Show no semblance of common sense when it comes to our spending habits. This is true for individuals, communities, states, and as a nation.

The list continues, with people and society making a deal with the devil to tolerate the intolerable so as to excuse their vices and to be accepted by the world.

We are like gods!

Every generations believes it is living in the most morally bankrupt of times. Maybe every generation is right because of the ever increasing slouching towards Gomorrah. That said; I’m one of those people. Since the Biblical flood and the raising of Babel, Sodom, and Gomorrah; I believe we are more morally bankrupt than ever before. That goes for all categories; the human race, the West, the United States, etc… I look at our decline, our hubris, and wonder how the ancient fallen cities could have been any worse than we.

At an early age I was a deist (one who believes that God does not take an active role in things), but too many coincidences (blessings and corrections) in my life and those around me have convinced me otherwise. So if I believe that God had and does take an active role in my life; why would he not do the same for larger groups or even nations? I think he does.

Now this brings up other issues that I’m not addressing in this post; mainly because I can’t. If God takes an active role then why does he allow evil things to happen? And we’re talking really unspeakable atrocities… The simple answer is I don’t know; but I do know that there are more things in heaven and earth than are dreamt of in your philosophy; and in those things I simply trust in the wisdom and grace of God.

That said, I think that we as a nation are turning our face from God, a process that began a good half century ago. I fear the consequences of such hubris as documented in the gospel and history.

Cal Thomas in a recent column stated, “A nation that loses its moral sense is a nation without any sense at all. Muslim fanatics who wish to destroy us are correct in their diagnosis of our moral rot: loss of a fear of God, immodesty, especially among women, materialism and much more. While their solution — Sharia law — is wrong, they are not wrong about what ails us.” (Read Full Article Here)

Mr. Thomas is dead on. We are like children that are convinced there are no consequences for our actions. The rod has been spared for so long… “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom”

Psalm 111:10 (King James Version)… and we are a bunch of fools.

As a nation we have endured for over 200 years. We have fought evil and tyranny. We have corrected ourselves when we strayed. We were great because we were good.

But now, the great experiment has run its course. Now, the system has been broken (on purpose). Now we creep forward (never back) down the beautiful, well travelled, broad road of socialism; lead on by fools and villains.

As we stand on the brink; though it is unlikely, though I doubt our resolve, though I doubt our character; it is not too late. We can turn from the promised man-made utopia. We can reject change and seek restoration. We can realize that this can’t be fixed by us. We can stop and turn around.

2 Chronicles 7:14

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
