“This administration does not learn constitutional lessons. It continues marching until it meets resistance. And it hasn’t met nearly enough.” — Charles Krauthammer

The Imperial President (Barack Obama) and his minions (the Federal Bureaucracy) are running roughshod over the Constitution. Barack Obama may have been a professor of Constitutional Law. He may even know the material. What is evident is, he doesn’t agree with it nor does he feel any compulsion to uphold his oath to protect it. #Incompetent

Turd - (cartoon) - 001The Obamacare implementation is a debacle, a bureaucratic and technological nightmare. The administration won’t give any meaningful information on how many have successfully navigated it; instead going into campaign mode to spin this as much as they can. Spin is what they do (and do best) after all. For the left; spin is the only answer they have for any and all problems.

Their message? “Look at the concept, look at the policy, not the implementation… we’ll work it out over time.”

Translation? Look at our intentions not the actual result… which is the leftist mantra if there ever was one.

Meanwhile Obama had a Rose Garden dog and pony show that showcased a few people who “successfully” navigated the system. As usual it was heavy on appearance and non-existent on substance… but don’t just take my word for it (see below).

I know, I know… I’m just a hateful tea party type who wants Obama to fail. And that’s a fair (and somewhat true) assessment. I do want Obama to fail in many, many aspects of his policies; for the simple fact that I think his failure would be best for the nation and our posterity.

But nothing I can say will convince anyone on the left that Obama has laid yet another steamy one on America’s doorstep.

So let me turn this over one of the main spokesmen for the left who has recently given a rare (very, very rare) objective, intellectually honest assessment of what we have in Obamacare (aka the Affordable Care Act) in his own humorous way.

[Side Note: If you haven’t seen the segment, it’s really funny… unfortunately Viacom has removed it from YouTube and it’s much harder to find now… I’m sure the WH had nothing to do with it.]

John Stewart on The Daily Show (Oct. 21, 203)

[Democrats needed only a] “mildly competent implementation” of Obamacare to soar in the polls and toss Republicans out of office. But they couldn’t do even that.

[After watching a report that the main problem is… logging in] “Ok, so the first step doesn’t work… I get a feeling after that it’s smmmoooth sailing…”

[After watching a report that the calculator has problems] “The %$#$ calculator doesn’t work!? The one thing that’s been included in computers since 1972!? You couldn’t make that work!? What!? Is the only thing the calculator does is spill out the word boobs no matter what you plug into it!? How does the calculator not work!?”

[After watching a report that fewer than 10% who try successfully enroll] “Oh my god! Less than ten percent! How bad is that? [Answering his own question] Twenty percent is the number of dentist who recommend sugared gum. How low is it? According to a recent poll, more people in this county believe Obamacare has been repealed than have been able to sign up for Obamacare. The whole point of web sites is to design them so that it is nearly impossible to NOT sign up for something. If I go to Amazon there’s a forty percent chance I’ll mistakenly overnight myself six seasons of Night Court. It’s just the way it’s designed… Are you sure you want to leave this page… Yes I am… Ooops, it turns out I ordered something…

“So how are the Democrats going to spin this turd.” (Cue Chuck Schumer spin)

[After watching Obama try and sell this monstrosity from the Rose Garden] “When did the President of the United States turn into Gill from the Simpsons.”

(Cue Gill [the desperate salesman from the Simpsons] Clip) “You can’t beat a Colico… so how many can I put you down for… A lot? Please say a lot… I need this…”

“He didn’t stop baby [referring to the President], Ron Popeil kept on selling.”

(Cue Obama clip from Rose Garden) “You just saw Janis’ story… she owns a small business… she recently enrolled through Delaware’s exchange…”

“So… that’s… one… [making a check mark on his notes] People say you can’t use the web site… have you told them about Janis!? From Delaware!? You know what? God Bless, She signed up. She deserves to be up there to prove it can be done easily.

To which we learn from a news clip “It took her seven hours on the phone and online. She had to go through and clean out all the cookies from her cache; but eventually she was able to sign up, she was able to sign up from the small state of Delaware…”

Stewart’s reaction “She had to move… She had to move and she is no longer married but it is done… She had to do a giant tattoo of a spider… on her neck… but it’s done, she has it… it’s done…”

Stewart: As it turns out, even the photo-op to address the poorly planned rollout of Obamacare suffered from a clear lack of planning… As evident by the decision, perhaps unwise in hindsight… to place the pregnant woman with diabetes in the sun next to the President. [Clip of President supporting the fainting woman] Good save… [Fakes fainting]…

Stewart: But fear not, help is on the way.

Obama (clip): We’ve had some of the best IT talent in the country join the team, and we’re well into a tech surge to fix the problem.

Stewart: A Surge! Your website is so $#@$ed!, we have to use the same strategy we used to salvage the Iraq war.

Back to Texas Lynn:

So back to Stewart’s main question. “How are the Democrats going to spin this turd?”

Who can even begin to fathom that answer? But spin it will.

If Iran had the centrifuge this thing is going to be subjected to they would have weapons grade plutonium in a week.

People - Cornyn, McConnelThe Establishment Republicans have cast their lot with the Democrats. They actually did it years ago but have somehow hid it. And I admit this is largely the fault of conservatives. We so hope for some meaningful opposition to the road to hell we as a nation are on, that we have been willing to bestow principles on those who don’t have them, and never will. I hope (and think) the fooling and pretending are getting harder and harder to do. It’s time the charlatans are exposed and I’ll continue to try and do my little part.

In the latest example, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and Minority Whip John Cornyn (from Texas) are siding with Harry Reid. Behind the scenes they “are actively whipping Senators to shut down debate on the House continuing resolution so that Harry Reid can gut it with just 51 votes.” (Senior Staffer in Senate) This means they are using their positions to pressure other Republicans to allow amendments (with just 51 votes) against the House Bill to continue funding the government (minus Obamacare) as led by Texas Senator Ted Cruz. The amendments they (Establishment Republicans) want to allow is for the reinstatement of the Obamacare funding.

The Democrats aren’t leading the fight to push the Obamacare train-wreck forward, the Establishment Republicans are doing it for them. “To be clear, nobody is fighting harder to make sure Obamacare is funded than Mitch McConnell and John Cornyn.” (Senior Staffer in Senate)

And I would be OK with that. I would even respect it… IF these guys would own up to what they are doing instead of this behind-closed-doors crap. But they intend to continue (as they have for years) to do one thing (we’ll call that substance) and put forth the image of something else (we’ll call that appearances). The “Me-Too” party has learned this lesson well from their co-conspirators.

Sure, both McConnell and Cornyn have publicly stated that they oppose a filibuster from Cruz to prevent Reid from adding funding for Obamacare to the continuing resolution (government funding)… but with the other hand they point Reid to another avenue, another back-door to accomplish the same thing. Not only that they run interference for the Majority Leader. It’s disingenuous at best.

And once they have helped the Democrats to defeat Cruz, the House, and us (conservatives); they will switch to appearance mode. They will then vote AGAINST Reid’s amendment that they made possible in the first place.

“I intend to support the House bill that defunds Obamacare and will vote against a bill that funds it.” — Senator John Cornyn (on Tweeter)

“Once it’s a 51-vote threshold, both McConnell and Cornyn will hide behind a ‘no’ vote on Reid’s amendment—so they will have yet another show vote.” (Senior Staffer in Senate) Again, appearance over substance.

I would say it is time… but it’s not. It is past time (years past time) for conservatives to realize that the Republican Party is not only not our friends, but are our enemies. They smile, they pretend, the talk the talk, but that’s all there is. Their actions, (the substance behind who they are), are against us. WE (conservatives are the RINOs) and we need to stop pretending and move on.

The meaning behind “I Am the RINO”.
I’ve always called many of the old Republican stalwarts RINOs (Republican in Name Only)… but lately I’ve come to question that label as it applies to them. When you hear someone use the term. It really means the individual is not “conservative” as if “Republican” and “conservative” are synonymous. They’re not. They never were. And I’ve decided never will be.

I’ve come to question if the likes of John McCain are RINOs. Now I think maybe HE is what the Republican Party was, is, and always will be… which means I’ve been the RINO all along. One thing is for sure… ONE of us is a RINO. And now, I’ve reached a point where I don’t know which. And I’ve reached a point where I don’t really care. I just want the question settled so we can part ways, amicably or not.

“So we’re bombing Syria because Syria is bombing Syria? And I’m the idiot? Bottom line is that this is about President Obama saving political face because of his ‘red line’ promise regarding chemical weapons… President Obama wants to do what, exactly? Punish evil acts in the form of a telegraphed air strike on Syria to serve as a deterrent?… We have no clear mission in Syria. There’s no explanation of what vital American interests are at stake there today amidst yet another centuries-old internal struggle between violent radical Islamists and a murderous dictatorial regime, and we have no business getting involved anywhere without one… Mr. President, please give America justification before you spend blood and treasure to intervene. Start with: who are you rooting for in this?” — Sarah Palin (former Alaska Governor)

The left (through the Mainstream Media) has continually tried to paint Sarah Palin as an idiot which they do with pretty well all Republicans. Sometimes it sticks, sometimes is doesn’t; as for as they are concerned it doesn’t hurt to try. The leftist media does this mostly through gaffes which are readily available from anybody on the public stage. Meanwhile they ignore and cover-up the same types of gaffes from real idiots on the left, like Joe Biden, Al Gore, John Kerry, and to a lesser extent Barack Obama (though Obama’s issue is incompetence rather than intelligence). For the left; it’s all about the spin and it helps to have a vast majority of the national media on your side when plying that trade.

The Governor made these statements via Facebook. And while the statement is biting and right on the money, the title applied to them is even better…

“Let Allah Sort It Out”

Amen sister!

People - Obama, Barack - Pussy - Golf“Because we recognize the great danger Assad’s chemical and biological arsenals pose to Israel and the United States, to the whole world, we’ve set a clear red line against the use or the transfer of the those weapons.” — Joe Biden (March 4, 2012) [And you can bet he didn’t come up with this on his own.]

“I’ve made it clear to Bashar al-Assad and all who follow his orders: We will not tolerate the use of chemical weapons against the Syrian people, or the transfer of those weapons to terrorists. The world is watching; we will hold you accountable.” — Barack Obama (March 21, 2012)

“We have been very clear to the Assad regime, but also to other players on the ground, that a red line for us is we start seeing a whole bunch of chemical weapons moving around or being utilized. That would change my calculus. That would change my equation.” — Barack Obama (August 20, 2012)

??????????????[Wow… that sounds like a pretty clear message to me. Do you hear anything about the world setting a red lie, or this being a history lesson on a world or U.N. dictum? Despite “the world is watching” it is very clear these statements represent the United States and Obama Administration… “my” calculus… “my” equation.]

[We the U.S. as led by Obama refuse to] “get involved with everything immediately [and] drawn into very expensive, difficult, costly interventions that actually breed more resentment in the region.” — Barack Obama (August 23, 2013) [After Assad pissed all over his “red line” the first time]

“There is no doubt that when you start seeing chemical weapons used on a large scale — and, again, we’re still gathering information about this particular event, but it is very troublesome. If the U.S. goes in and attacks another country without a U.N. mandate and without clear evidence that can be presented, then there are questions in terms of whether international law supports it, do we have the coalition to make it work, and, you know, those are considerations that we have to take into account.” — Barack Obama (August 27, 2013) [Waiting on clear evidence, international law, a U.N. mandate, a coalition, and other considerations… red line, my words, credibility?]

[Now we’ve reached a point where he didn’t even say that… He was just giving a history lesson on a decision the world made decades ago… Why don’t we see that? Answer: Because it bullshit… which is the very definition of the Obama Presidency…]

People - Obama, Barack - as Idiot“That’s not something I just made up. I didn’t pluck it out of thin air. I didn’t set a red line. The world set a red line… My credibility’s not on the line. The international community’s credibility is on the line, and America and Congress’s credibility’s on the line.” — Barack Obama (September 4, 2013)

You can almost hear a higher pitched voice of panic and exasperation. Sure we have “evidence” (though no more solid that of the “weapons of mass destruction” that led to the Iraq war). And I even believe the evidence, as I did back then. But where are the international law and the U.N. mandate and the coalition and all that other stuff that was necessary a few weeks ago? Syria and Assad aside… Is it always just spin with the left? Do you guys ever say anything that you actually mean or will stand behind?

The fact that the answer seems to be “NO” is why we’re in this (latest) mess. And we haven’t even thought about dealing with Iran and it’s nukes yet!

Concept - Credibility - DictionaryWe (and by “we” I mean Obama and his administration) have really screwed the pooch on this one. It’s just the latest example of the wages of “Pussy Diplomacy”.

Our main problem with Syria (and our foreign policy in general) is in the value of words. Words mean things. People, (and governments and tyrants) watch them and the actions that follow to back them up… they then place value (capitol) on the words based on how true the original words were. (On a side note this is a currency still accumulated and spent on the world stage… but has completely lost its value domestically. Here rhetoric is king thanks to the Main Stream Media.)

We (and by “we” I mean Obama) have little or no capitol in our words. Our enemies don’t fear us (because of the past actions behind our words); and our allies don’t trust us. And who can blame either of them?

Instead of rehashing all the situations that have brought us to this low point, you can read my previous entry (Been There, Done That, Doing it Again – The Consequences of Being Seen as American Pussies).

People - Obama, Barack - Red LineOne More Example:
I will recount one instance here that happened since that posting that is a great example of the problem I am describing. It’s even specific to Syria.

Of course Obama talked big a year or so ago; warning Syria not to use Chemical weapons… or else that would be a “red line”. Of course this was nothing less than Obama spending the capitol of words backed by the actions of previous Presidents. As an amateur he gave no thought to the capitol that would need to be built by his actions. Obama understands only the concept of spending and consuming… not saving or building up.

When that line was obviously crossed months ago… Obama hemmed and hawed and finally… finally… announced that we would send “small arms” to the rebels fighting Assad. Everybody knew this was wuss-out. He might as well have sent them boxes of condoms to throw at Assad’s tanks and jets. But that’s not the end of it… He didn’t even follow through on that meager threat. Nothing to date has been sent. He wussed-out on the wuss-out. His words… his threat… meant nothing. The man IS an amateur and a pussy!

As I said a couple of weeks ago… “If we say we’ll act when a line is crossed, we act. If we’re not really willing to act then we shut the $#@# up! Just doing what we say will go a long way in gaining the respect we need to operate in the world.”

Now the line is crossed again. And Obama seems ready to act this time. No really… Assad has gone tooooo far…

So Obama says this is “not about regime change” so Assad can rest assured he isn’t going anywhere. There will be no boots on the ground and this will be an exercise that is completed in hours, not days, so Assad can just wait it out. We can do this anytime we want (days, weeks, months) so we’re not really committing to anything here other than lobbing a few hundred missiles at most. And even though he doesn’t need it; he’s going to let Congress vote on it, seeking their approval; but it’s not so important that we’re going to actually call them in now. We’ll just wait until they get back.

All this is just another look at amateur hour.

And where are our allies in all of this? The UK? They’re out. Germany? Nope. Italy? Insists on a U.N. mandate (which is laughable). France? Still In? One out of four… and the one is France! But again, who can blame them. I don’t. Our words no longer have any value. Depend on actions behind the words or Barack Obama and you’re bound to get screwed. Just ask Dr. Shakil Afridi doing 33 years in a Pakistan prison for helping us get Osama bin Laden.

Sure all this is Obama’s fault. His words and actions on the world stage; which I term “pussy diplomacy” is little more than one “amateur” mistake after another.

But what did we expect from a junior Senator with little or no experience in anything other than rabble rousing (community organizing) and teaching a few college classes. Sure he’s pretty (hansom), and talks the talk (rhetoric), and… and… that’s about it. But that seems to be all you need to be President of the United States these days.

I guess what I’m saying is we get the government (and President) we deserve… and boy are we getting it. Twice now! Buy hey, who can really put a value on a “light-skinned African American with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one.” — Harry Reid. Just look at the dividends that fact is paying in domestic policy and race relations.

People - Obama, Barack - Mickey Mouse EarsNow What?
So where do we go from here?

Long term? We as an American people need to elect real men (I don’t mean this as sexist) to the office of the Presidency. Rank amateurs no matter their skin pigmentation are still rank amateurs. Even Bill Clinton knew that.

“Obama doesn’t know how to be president. He doesn’t know how the world works. He’s incompetent. He’s an amateur!” — Bill Clinton

“A few years ago, this guy (Obama) would be getting us coffee.” — Bill Clinton (reportedly to Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.))

Short term? I’ll admit I’m not sure what we need to do in Syria. My complaint and this post has more to do with how and why we are in such bad shape globally and diplomatically.

As in most of the Middle East, there are few if any good guys in these conflicts. If the rebels were half-way decent (not Sharia-law pushing radical extremists) and really wanting democracy and freedom… I’d say we take action. Real action and make sure they won. I would even be willing to help… If I thought they would set up a dictator or junta that was favorable to us for a decade or two; but I don’t.

They’re not our friends. They’re Islamic (which is the antipathy of democracy and freedom). And not the watered down Islam we pretend is prevalent (there or here). They’re nut-jobs vying for power; who will kill Jews and Christians (and their own people) and turn on us at their first opportunity. Who needs this crap?

Religion - Islam - Symbol and Book

The Obama “plan” (if it could be called that) will not protect the people being slaughtered by Assad or from the next tyrant who will take his place if we get him. As Obama campaigns (the only thing he is good at) to try and convince Congress and the American people that we should lob a limited number of missiles at Syria; to convince me, he’s got to show me a real plan to really help those people AND protect our interests over there. But this would have to appeal to reason and facts, which is not something Obama can do… his only tool is emotional manipulation. With that said, and with the understanding of what Obama has planned right now… I say No.

We need to shift our Middle East policy to reflect that we have few friends in the Muslim world; and if we do they’re really just rich secularist dictators from a Muslim culture. We need to weigh the benefits to us and take actions that support those benefits… and that’s it. We need value for our buck and nothing else. If anybody over there wants to be our “friends” let them prove it first.

The Syrian rebels want our help? OK. A few questions first. How will you purge the Al Qaeda elements in your ranks? What do you have to offer in return and what will you do to guarantee delivery? And please understand your answer will directly affect the level of support… if any…

Main Stream Media - Bias - Bet Your Sweet AssHave you heard about this in the news? Here’s an excerpt…

The big white gate flew open. The bull came out bucking. The rider flopped from side to side and the bullfighters held back, letting the bull make his moves until the rider dropped off. Licciardello crouched in a heavily padded barrel, a human target should the bull decide to charge. Hawkins waited near the barrel, holding his big inner tube. A dummy with a mask of the President stood beside the clown, propped up by a broomstick…

T.J. Hawkins rolled out the big inner tube, and the bull lowered his head, shot forward and launched into the tube, sending it bounding down the center of the arena. The crowd cheered. Then the bull saw the Presidential dummy. He tore into it, sending the rubber mask flying halfway across the sand as he turned toward the fence, sending cowboys scrambling up the fence rails, hooking one with his horn and tossing him off the fence.

Of course the key to this story was the dummy wearing the mask of the President. It raises a lot of questions.

Was this stunt disrespectful to the Office of the President of the United States? Was it protected by Free Speech?

Was it disrespectful to the person of the President of the United States?

Was there a racial component?

What should happen to the clowns and announcers and management who instigated and carried out this stunt at a rodeo? Apologies? Resignations? Fired? Banned?

Maybe all the clowns should be sent to “sensitivity training”?

What about calls for DOJ and Secret Service investigations, this stunt implied violence against a dummy representing a sitting President after all?

Concept - BullshitLuckily none of these things happened. If there were a few people offended, they blew it off as the opposition having a bit of harmless fun at their guy’s expense. No one resigned, no one was banned, no one apologized, no one was fired, and no one went to sensitivity training. And the absurd idea of an investigation by anybody was never brought up if it even ever crossed anybody’s mind.

Really, I don’t even know why I’m bringing this up. It never even made the national news and the local guys barely covered it other than a puff piece or two describing the fun to be had at the rodeo.

Why would anyone give a second thought to a dummy with a mask of H.W. Bush being pummeled by a bull at a rodeo… 20 years ago? Which is, of course, the event I’m referencing to here. What did you think I was talking about?

Ohhh… Yeah… pretty well ALL of the Bullshit that didn’t happen 20 years ago DID happen this year (2013). It’s hard to pin down what’s different other than the political party and race of the Presidential effigy pummeled then and now. But, of course, that’s exactly the criteria that caused the Mainstream Media and Leftist, and Race Pimps to throw their latest hyper-sensitive hissy fit.

Liberal Media Bias? … You Bet Your Sweet Ass. Of course let’s not let the Race Pimps like the NAACP off the hook either. Hypocrites one and all.

* [In the original puff piece quoted (from the Philadelphia Inquirer) the article mentioned the name of the President depicted (H.W. Bush) I edited that part out to help make my point.]
