Those were the droids I was looking for!
I know you (as well as I) have been waiting with baited breath for the University of East Anglia to finish its inquiry and report on the hacked and released emails from it’s Climate Research Unit (CRU). These are the climate change guys whose own emails got leaked, proving that they have no professional integrity, knew their data is crap, and used “tricks” to make charts and curves appear as they wanted them to. I know we are all pleased to hear that their parent University has investigated them and found no serious wrongdoing on the part of their scientist. Well, as one of their critics (Global Warming – Viva la Revolucion! November 24, 2009), aren’t I embarrassed… that settles that!
You know, when it comes to liberals, I have to give them credit where it is due. So here it is. They have got balls! Cojones! And Big Ones! They can whip it out. Piss all over your leg; tell you it’s raining and never bat an eye. They can even act indignant when you dare call them on it. I don’t know what kind of mindset it takes to develop these skills (and I don’t think I want to); but liberals everywhere have it and flaunt it.
Another investigation by a former civil servant, Muir Russell also found everything was on the up and up. One question… of the millions of current and former civil servants out there; how many do you think aren’t left-wing.
Mr. Russell’s report found that “Their rigor and honesty as scientists are not in doubt.” and “We did not find any evidence of behavior that might undermine the conclusions of the IPCC.” The IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) is the United Nations panel that used the data from the CRU to push it’s global warming agenda.
At least to give their “investigations” some semblance of legitimacy; these guys did criticize the CRU “scientist” for:
■ Not being open enough
■ Failing to respond openly to questions about climate data lodged (by real scientist and citizens) under their freedom of information act
■ Having a tendency to answer the wrong question or to give a partial answer (dodging because they know their data doesn’t support their conclusions)
■ Deleting other emails in anticipation of requests for their release (always a sign of rigor and honesty)
■ Having a little misleading data (in laymen’s terms, this is called lying or hiding the decline)
■ Using a “trick” or neat mathematical approach to a problem (this is called figures don’t lie, but liers figure)
Wow, what a list! Just imagine if there had been any wrongdoing…
So what we have here is the left investigating a left-wing organization being caught lying about left-wing pseudo-science; and releasing reports that there is nothing to see here, move along…
I have to admit it is kind-of fun watching libs attempting a Jedi mind-trick minus the force.
Lib Obi-wan: “These aren’t the droids you’re looking for”
Storm Trooper: “What do you mean?! They’re right there!”
Lib Obi-wan: “Move along…”
Storm Trooper: “Hey! You’re peeing on my leg!”
Lib Obi-wan: “Move along…”
With all these investigations wrapping up, it’s good to know there is one still in progress; the police investigating the theft of the emails. Yes, let’s make sure no good deed or service to the community goes unpunished.
