Environmental - Carbon FootprintSo last Monday was Earth Day… (yawn)… So to celebrate I took some dumb@#% quiz to see how earth friendly or aware or something I am. It was the Earth Day Network Footprint Calculator. I got there by clicking on the Google Earth Day graphic and it was at the top of the list.

The first thing the Calculator did was ask for money to support the cause and/or the web site. I didn’t give them any. I suspect we don’t share many goals in common. I don’t give money to the Democrats, NPR, the Earth Day Calculator, or the Communist Party… all for the same reason.

Moving on, next I had to create an avatar. There were none that would even remotely represent me. It seems only hipsters, social freaks and/or the walking dead take this quiz. I randomly selected one and kept going, undeterred though under-represented avatar wise.

Finally I got to the questions with my avatar walking around a neighborhood as chunks of my carbon producing lifestyle fell from the sky with a thud. I felt like I might be crushed by meat stores, food trucks, my garbage, my house, my car, utility polls…

As each shame-filled chunk fell, I continued on to the next question trying to be truthful…

Where I’m bad:
Food Meat: I like meat. I like bacon especially.
Processed Food: Meh… I probably don’t each any more or less than the average American but I suspect that would be considered criminal by these guys.
Driving: 15 miles round trip to work… but that’s only because I left the big city. I used to drive 50+ miles round trip to work in congested traffic (but no more) BUT, It’s just me. I don’t carpool. I don’t take public transportation and would never consider doing either. 🙂

Where I’m good:
Food Local Vegetables: I eat a lot of vegetables (with my meat). My family is a bunch of farmers, so it’s local and fresh and good.
Travel: I hate it. I would love to visit lots of exotic places and experience their people and cultures. But it’s just not worth the aggravation of getting there. (The TSA, Airlines, crowds of people, terrorists…)

Questionable:
My House: I live in a small house (~1000 square feet) (but it’s just me) I definitely use the air-conditioner during the summer, but heat with a wood burning stove in the winter. Is the wood burning stove better than gas or electricity when heating? You never know with eco-nuts…
Garbage: I suspect I don’t produce any more or less than the average American. BUT I don’t recycle. Recycling is just a feel-good empty gesture for leftist and the public.

So “carbon footprint” wise I wouldn’t think I’m in the top percentile. Imagine my surprise when I learned (from the survey) that if everyone lived like me, we’d need 6.4 Planet Earths to provide enough resources. AND To support my lifestyle, it takes 28.5 acres of land ooops I mean “productive area”. Most of that was to provide my energy consumption which is surprising since I’m probably a low energy consumer. Maybe it’s the fact that the air conditioner is only cooling for me and I’m the only one watching my TV and drive by myself everywhere…

Obviously I’m a conservative. And most conservatives I know are pro-environment and anti-environmentalist. It’s been my experience that “environmentalists” are generally all show and no common sense. I’ve got one question for an environmentalists? Have you ever taken a dump in the woods? I mean, just you and the woods and nature calling? If you haven’t… then (pardon the expression) you don’t know crap about nature…

Political - Socialism - Environmental MarxSo when it comes to my carbon footprint… I couldn’t care less. You can pretty well bet the snake oil salesmen who use the carbon footprint are pretty well major hypocrites and #@$holes.

Want to set reasonable pollution standards on a state and local level because it’s good for the the community? I’m there. Want to over regulate, create a massive bureaucracy, kill jobs at any cost, push a pagan religion, shout doom at the heretics, and use the environment as a means to an end for socialism (or worse). Not on my watch… at least not quietly. So Happy Earth Day you hypocrites, shysters, and sheep!

People - Prope FrancisI have to admit that I’m no fan of the Pope Francis. I tried to keep an open mind on the man, but I believe he has repeatedly demonstrated he is “of this world” and not the next; concerned with numbers, and politics, and political correctness, at the expense of truth and the way.

These are the reasons WHY I am no fan of this Pope…

Why? Sacrificing Truth:
Francis seems concerned with building membership (numbers) within his (not His) church. That fine, but only when truth is not sacrificed in that endeavor. Pope Francis seems to either not know the truth or is unconcerned with advocating it (Him).

Why? Political Correctness:
Francis seems to bow to political correctness, a very worldly pagan god. In May 2013 he answered the theological question of “If even atheists have been redeemed by Jesus?” by saying “Even them, everyone.” He proceeded to beat around the bush by including. “We all have the duty to do good… Just do good, and we’ll find a meeting point.” (See
Jesus, Redemption, Atheists, Works, and the Pope

Technically his answer is true. Jesus’ blood did redeem everyone. What it did not do was lead to everyone’s salvation. We conservatives have been criticized with equating his remarks concerning redemption with salvation. True… but the world (left) has doubly used this statement to equate the two. And that’s the problem. If my words were misconstrued to advocate such a heretical idea, I would do everything in my power to correct the misconception. Pope Francis has made no such effort; and I now assume this has been his intent all along.

Pope Francis is also correct that “we’ll find a meeting point”; but where he is wrong is that “just do good” will be good enough (for anyone). At the judgment seat no one will be “good” enough by his own merit. It’s a basic tenet of the Christian faith.

Works versus Faith in Christ

A misconception of his original message would have been a perfect opportunity to clarify that key message of our Lord and Savior. It was an opportunity missed. Why? Numbers and political correctness. We can’t go and offend the world. It’s just not done in this day and age.

Moral EquivalenceWhy? Moral Equivalence:
More recently it has been revealed that Pope Francis has been key in pushing the Obama administration to begin normalizing relations with Cuba. Step one was to release five Cuban spies for one American hostage. The leader of the five Cubans released was linked to downing two civilian planes operated by the U.S.-based dissident group Brothers to the Rescue, in which four men died. Thus he was serving TWO life sentences. Today, he is now in Cuba after a heroes welcome home.

Left - Liberal - Rabid - Hate AmericaThis “deal” should be no surprise to anyone. This is the same President and administration that traded five high level terrorists for one deserter; the same administration that is systematically emptying Gitmo even though the terrorists released often return to the battle field intent to kill Americans. And the left is indignant when it is suggested that they hate the United States, or at best see a moral equivalence between us and our enemies?

So why not restore relations with a dictatorship on our front doorstep that almost ushered in nuclear Armageddon half a century ago and continues today to be one of the most ruthless, and oppressive regimes in the world? From the leftist perspective (which seems to include the Pope), the only thing wrong with the Cuban Communist system is that better leftist (such as themselves) are not in control. Then there IS that moral equivalence thing.

Religion - Pagan - GaiaWhy? Embracing the Most Pagan of Today’s False Religions:
Now (late 2014) it has been announced that Pope Francis will issue a lengthy proclamation (to Catholics), address the UN general assembly, and call a summit of the world’s main religions. On what pressing subject is the Pope concerned? Climate Change… Pope Francis hopes to influence next year’s crucial UN Climate Change meeting in Paris.

Why, I ask, does it not surprise me that this Pope would embrace the most fraudulent, snake oil selling, oppressive, pagan, religions of the 21’st century? The god Baal (see the Profit Elijah) had more credibility that these delinquents.

The only logical conclusion I can deduce concerning Pope Francis? He’s just another secular leftist in a dangerous position. How can one tell? Matthew 7:15-20

But always — do not forget this, Winston — always there will be the intoxication of power, constantly increasing and constantly growing subtler. Always, at every moment, there will be the thrill of victory, the sensation of trampling on an enemy who is helpless. If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face — forever. — George Orwell (1984)

We control life, Winston, at all its levels. You are imagining that there is something called human nature which will be outraged by what we do and will turn against us. But we create human nature. Men are infinitely malleable. — George Orwell (1984)

Obama - Dictator - 1984

King - PoopThe new leftist mayor of New York, Bill de Blasio, recently came up with a 62 point safe street initiative; an aggressive plan to curb traffic accidents and deaths in the Big Apple. He personally shot a public service announcement announcing the crackdown. That public announcement included the words “We’ve put a very bold plan before you, and we want the public to know we are holding ourselves to this standard.”

And a day or two later… de Blasio is seen in his (chauffeured) car totally ignoring New York traffic laws. His cars (two in the caravan) routinely were documented speeding (sometimes 20 or 30 mph over the limit), blowing through stop signs, and breaking all kinds of traffic laws. The reporter who documented all this noted enough infractions that the driver’s license would have been legally suspended had he actually been held accountable.

When the mayor finally commented on the incident, he took a page from his President and threw his driver and the NY Police Department under the bus. It seems the police are in charge of his transportation and he was just an innocent passenger, begging them to obey the law the whole time. His response is, of course, bull shit; but more than that its royalty dismissing out-of-hand a petty concern of his subjects.

The issue here isn’t the ignoring of the law so much as the prevailing attitude among many the elites in government, Hollywood, and the ultra-rich.

Movie - Monty Python Holy Grail - Peasants

When de Blazio comes up with new rules and laws concerning how you should drive in New York… those restrictions are meant for YOU, the little people, the serfs. It never occurred to the mayor or anyone in his organization that those rules or laws would ever apply to him. Even when his own words in the announcement said “we are holding ourselves to this standard”, thinking those words had meaning would be ludicrous. It’s the mind-set of these jerks.

And I don’t want to just pick on the mayor of New York here. This is a common belief system among the elites.

People - Gore, Al - Nobel PrizeWhen Al Gore says you need to reduce your carbon footprint. He doesn’t include himself in that. He’s too important. He’s the exception… along with every other elite prick pushing global warming. Jets, mansions, limousines? At best they offset that by buying carbon credits from one of Al’s companies; Al paying Al for permission to do as he pleases. What it really comes down to is; it’s us little people who must pay and obey.

When Obama and the Democrats pushed Obamacare on us; it was under the guise of providing for the little people. And while it’s true the law does give subsidies to the poor… what is says to the middle class is “buy this crap or pay a fine”. Again, it’s the serfs who must obey. When Congress realized they forgot to exclude themselves or their employees they threw a hissy fit about a “brain drain”. Their solution? Have the bureaucrats declare “Oh, the law doesn’t apply to you guys after all”. And why should it? As if they were serfs like the rest of us.

Foreign diplomats and United Nations guys get a pass on certain U.S. laws? Understandable in theory; we don’t want our guys harassed over there. It’s a quid pro quo; except the practice is heavily abused. Why? They’re not like us. They’re not serfs.

The IRS screwing the tea party guys in coordination with the ATF, Justice Department and other government agencies is partly due to the attitude of those pulling the strings saying “Who do these serfs think they are? We’ll show them their proper place…”

The list of abuses goes on and on and on… Eventually (one would hope) the serfs have to say, enough is enough. The concept of the rule of law must be reborn in the psyche of this nation. Laws must apply to everyone… even these elites. Accountability must be brought to bear. But the system is so screwed up that law and accountability are out the window… probably irreversibly.

United Nations - Environment ProgramYou really want to know what “climate change” is all about? Well, we got the perfect demonstration of that yesterday (11/20/2013) when 132 “poor countries” threw a hissy fit and walked out of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Warsaw, Poland. Why? Because of opposition to “wealth redistribution” in the name of environmentalism.

These free-loaders claim they have the support of other coalitions of poor nations, including the Least Developed Countries, the Alliance of Small Island States and the Africa Group; which is like saying all the kids on the playground agree with me that you should give me your lunch money. Newsflash… you don’t have jack-$#@* if you don’t have support from the guys with the money… unless you’ve got the means and the balls to take it. (Yes… we may have a pussy for a President right now; but he fears us more than he fears you.)

The UN and “poor countries” expect nothing less than $100 billion to be paid annually (called “reparations”) within seven years by “rich countries” for the sins of “historical greenhouse gas emissions”. Ostensibly this is to “prepare for the impacts of global warming” (heat waves, cold waves, droughts, floods, storms, and lack of storms). This is not, we repeat, NOT to line the pockets of two-bit dictators and corrupt bureaucrats.

“The US, EU, Australia and Norway remain blind to the climate reality that’s hitting us all, and poor people and countries much harder. They continue to derail negotiations in Warsaw that can create a new system to deal with new types of loss and damage such as sea-level rise, loss of territory, biodiversity and other non-economic losses more systematically.” — Harjeet Singh, spokesperson for Action Aid International

To which I say… “You got that right, buddy! And let’s make dam sure crap like this continues to be “derailed”. Actually, with this (Obama) administration; I’m kind of curious as to why they aren’t on board. This seems right up the lefts alley. (This question is answered below.)

Political - Socialism - Environmental March
That aside it seems that Australia, Europe and the U.S. have all argued that the issue should be addressed in 2015. I couldn’t disagree more. This is way to important to wait until 2015. We should tell these little piss-ants to $#@$-off right now; not in 2015.

“The EU understands that the issue is incredibly important for developing countries. But they should be careful about … creating a new institution. This is not [what] this process needs. The whole financing discussion reflects that the developed world knows it has special responsibility. Most of what has been emitted has been done by us.” — Connie Hedegaard, European Union climate commissioner

And this moron is “on our side”…

So what do we (and by we I mean Obama through the State Dept.) have to say about all this…

“A central issue will be whether loss and damage continues to fall within adaptation or whether it becomes a separate, third pillar (alongside adaption and mitigation), which we believe would lead the [United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change] to focus increasingly on blame and liability, which in turn would be counterproductive from the standpoint of public support for the convention.” — a State Department memo

Yeah I know. This sounds like something that would come out of the State Department. Let me help you with a translation.

“We’d love to pay you off; but the people back home would have a cow and we can’t afford that politically right now. $#@%! We’re just trying to keep the whole hoax going. Look what happened in Australia for &*#@$ sake! We’re with you but back-off before people (our people) figure this crap out!” — TL Translation of State Dept. Memo

Speaking of Australia and figuring this crap out… they recently booted their left-wing overlords and are in the process of repealing the country’s “carbon tax”. Taking these talks very seriously they sent a mentally challenged janitor and his flatulent deuschand, named Reginald, to represent the land down under at these latest UN climate talks. This would be equivalent to us sending Joe Biden so you can see why the UN and environmentalists were not amused…

“They wore T-shirts and gorged on snacks throughout the negotiation. That gives some indication of the manner they are behaving in. [And that… that dog… should NOT be eating cheese!” — a spokeswoman for the Climate Action Network. (Side Note: This is an actual quote… except maybe for the dog and cheese part…TL :))

Political - Socialism - Environmental MarxSpeaking again of Australia and of someone to “get’s it”…

“The carbon tax is bad for the economy and it doesn’t do any good for the environment. Despite a carbon tax of $37 a ton by 2020, Australia’s domestic emissions were going up, not down. The carbon tax was basically socialism masquerading as environmentalism, and that’s why it’s going to get abolished.” — (new conservative) Prime Minister Tony Abbott

Yes! Yeessssss! In this day and age, in this climate of bullshit… it is so soooo refreshing to hear the truth… to hear someone in power willing to call bullshit on the whole thing. The carbon tax is basically socialism masquerading an environmentalism… which is really what environmentalism has become and why “global warming” (which became “climate change” when the globe stopped warming) was invented!

So that’s what it’s all about. The evolution (or de-evolution) of environmentalism… which is now just a subset and a means to socialism.

Humor - Mayan - Weather Forcast

Crap! I forgot today is the end of the world (12/21/2012) (supposedly according to the Mayan calendar)… and here I am at work! Was that supposed to happen at 00:00:01 or at dawn or later today? Did the calendar indicate the time the world is supposed to end?

I actually think it’s been proven that the Mayans didn’t even intend to imply the end of the world. But for stupid people (and there are a lot of them out there) any excuse to panic and go into hysterics will do. Just look at Al Gore and his following of global warming nuts.

Don’t get me wrong; there is plenty to worry about. 🙂 There are lots of stupid, stupid men running things… and those who aren’t stupid are nuts or evil or both. We ARE doomed! But it will have nothing to do with some ancient man chiseling a calendar on a rock.

Climate Change Salesman

Climate Change Salesman

Former adviser to Margaret Thatcher, Lord Monckton was evicted from the UN climate summit after openly stating the fact that “In the 16 years we have been coming to these conferences, there has been no global warming.”

He was booed as he was escorted from the hall and security officers stripped him of his UN credentials.

And some people wonder why more and more of us refuse to place blind faith in “science”. So much for scientific theory, methods, debate, peer review, or even objectivity. This isn’t science, it practically a religion all its own based on a social, fiscal, and political agenda.

Guess what, Al Gore, Meghan McCain, Van Jones, and a host of other chicken little’s blamed Hurricane Sandy on… Global Warming… Ooop, its Climate Change now isn’t it.

Wow. I mean wow! Who could have seen that coming?

And next year the lack of a Hurricane Sandy will be proof of Climate Change.

In the Scientific Method you normally form a hypothesis like (The sky is falling/warming/changing/whatever). THEN, you design experiments to test that hypothesis. INSTEAD Al and his bunch just stand around and point at things yelling “See! (Fill in the blank here) is proof of sky falling/warming/changing/etc…”

Sure, they had their “computer models” a decade or two ago concerning sea levels, and temperature increases… but all that turned to crap; so they re-branded and re-launched their hysterics hoping no one would notice. Of course, it helped that the Main Stream Media was on board…

You won’t catch these charlatans making the mistake of being specific again. To this bunch EVERYTHING (every puff of wind, every change in tides, and every drop of rain) is proof of Climate Change… So in reality NOTHING is.
