technology-hacker-locksContinuing with a series on the various aspects of the lefts, lashing out, grasping and blaming… we now visit The Russian Hacking…

It was just a few short years ago that Obama zinged Romney with “The 1980s are now calling to ask for their foreign policy back because the Cold War’s been over for 20 years.”
This was in response to Romney identifying the Russians as the biggest threat to global security.

Fast forward to today and… those insidious Russkies have hacked, false newsed, and thrown the election for the left’s beloved Hillary; stealing our election for Trump and thus putting the world on the brink of destruction. The motivation for all this is supposedly Putin’s hatred of Hillary. Yeah… right…

The left even implies (as they justified recounts) that the Russians MAY have hacked into voting machines. There’s just one thing missing in all of this. Proof of exactly who, when, where, and what actually happened in this regard.

Before getting into the details the concerning the claims and likely reality of the Russian hacking, I’ll say that I think it’s much ado about nothing; but then, that’s the whole point. While many on the left will allow themselves to be bamboozled by the conspiracy theories (much as the right was by the birther crap), some know it’s pretty well BS but will use it anyway as one of many means to try and delegitimize Trumps election as well as raise wheel-barrows full of cash. All’s fair in and politics.

OK… Let’s look at the various claims in no particular order…

The Democrats were hacked:

There is no doubt that the Democrats were hacked. The proof is in the WikiLeaks. The only question is by who? The CIA says it was the Russians, the FBI says maybe, WikiLeaks says nope (somebody else), and the Russians say prove it… Meanwhile I (TexasLynn)… don’t care. I just grateful to whoever did it. 🙂 Not because it hurt Hillary Clinton’s election prospects (it didn’t), but that it (to be honest) exposed truth that needed exposing. That’s always a good thing.

As a tech guy, I see this as two separate hacking incidents. First John Podesta’s Gmail (where much of the information came from) and then the DNC (Democratic National Committee) server. Why the separation? One (the DNC) was (technologically) fairly sophisticated leaving supposedly Russian digital fingerprints while the other (Podesta) was completely (technologically) unsophisticated, meaning just about anybody could have done it.

Targeting Idiots:
So first, Podesta…

people-podesta-johnMuch of the (WikiLeaks) material released was from John Podesta’s email. The hackers gained access by “phishing” for account login information (in this case a Google Gmail account). This is equivalent to sending an official looking email and convincing the recipient (John Podesta) to log in using the link provided in the email. Instead of logging in, the link sends the information to the hacker. Two things generally prevent these attacks from working; 1) a modicum of common sense on the part of the mark (which John Podesta obviously lacked) 2) delayed common sense in realizing something is amiss and thus changing your password (yeah… that didn’t happen either).

The Russians may indeed have been the ones to send this phishing email and gain access from the reply. OR it just as easily could have been any one of millions of semi-technical losers out there. The point being… this wasn’t rocket science; which is exactly what the left would have you believe was involved so they can infer the talent needed to accomplish this is only available to some big sinister foreign government with hundreds or thousands of hackers at their disposal. But no, the means of obtaining this information could have been generated by any ONE semi-technical miscreant on the face of the planet. Its success was completely dependent on the ignorance and idiocy of John Podesta. And it worked…

Targeting Easy Marks:
party-logo-democraticSupposedly the Democratic National Security (DNC) hack was more sophisticated, which goes without saying; it’s harder to hack a server than an email account. Supposedly, here is where we find the little Russkie fingerprints all over the place… And granted, this is the most plausible in the Russian hacking accusations.

But… from what I understand (and this is from CNN and the NYT) the Democrats were warned of the intrusion (by the FBI) and did little or nothing for a YEAR; before finally addressing the issue. This is what is known in the hacking world as an “easy marks” and “the mother lode”. One excuse by the DNC was complaining that the FBI didn’t properly inform them of just how serious they were concerning the warning. This is like complaining that the guy who tells you that you were on fire, does so in too calm a tone.

So the Russians (or whoever) had access to a lot of DNC data and emails for over a year. The DNC is largely to blame… to which I say good… (see below). The Russian (or whoever’s) success in this regard really speaks to the incompetence of the Party leadership (if not the whole org-chart top to bottom); and why should we be surprised at this. Have you seen these idiots govern?

The Republicans Were Hacked:

party-logo-gopTo get around the inconvenient truth of being hacked because they were idiots, the Democratic Party asserts “Well, the Republicans were hacked too”. This has a two-fold advantage: 1) It excuses their incompetence in regards to technical security and 2) It allows them then to assert a new conspiracy that since nothing (or little) was released concerning the Republicans it proves they (and Trump) are in leages with those pesky evil Russians.

Following this train of logic, proof that the Russians and Trump and the Republicans were all in on this giant conspiracy is 1) The Russians didn’t release any/much Republican emails/information and 2) The Russians seemed to concentrate on Democrats as time went on. The ever obedient main stream media follows along reporting this as “news”. Involvement of Nessie, Big Foot, and Elvis can’t be far behind…

Another explanation of these two events might be 1) The Russians were unsuccessful in infiltrating Republican systems (as is asserted by the GOP after looking into it) and 2) When a thief (the Russians) is targeting two marks, one of which is thwarting their efforts and the other of which is easy (showing themselves to be idiots)… you naturally concentrate your efforts on the easy and profitable idiots.

There is little doubt the Russians tried to hack the GOP. $%#@! The Russians pretty well try to hack any and every business, government agency, public organization, and private Secretary of State email server they can shake a stick at. So do the Chinese, Iranians, North Koreans, U.S (to them)… It’s their nature. You don’t blame a shark for doing what sharks do… but you also don’t slather yourself in chum, take a dip, and wonder why you just got bit on the @ss.

If the Russians really, wanted to hurt Hillary, why didn’t they release emails from… her private server, which they also supposedly hacked? THAT would have done more damage than anything on the DNC; proving that Hillary had indeed broken the law AND compromised national security. I don’t know if they have those emails or not. But if they did, and they really intended to affect the election, THAT would have been their trump card (no pun intended) but they never played it.

Looking At the Data (Despite the Source):

OK let’s assume the worst case scenario. It was the Russians. It was completely the Russians (Podesta, the DNC, all of it). What exactly did hey accomplish for all their effort? Name THE false-news story they put out there that did Hillary in. Name THE one thing (the main thing) that put the nail in Hillary’s coffin. Not generalities… specifics. There is NOTHING there; it’s a leftist shell game to distract from the truth. The Democratic Party, and Hillary herself are to blame for the loss.

So What did we learn from the Russians?

  1. We learned that the DNC was COMPLETELY in bed with the Clinton campaign seeking to torpedo Bernie Sanders (and yet the socialist shill supported her all the way). This caused the resignation of Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (who went to work for Clinton) and should have caused the resignation of Donna Brazil (who replaced Debbie) when it was revealed that she passed on debate questions to Clinton. Instead Brazil got a pass because of ideology and race.
  2. We learned that the Main Stream Media (MSM) was COMPLETELY in bed with the Clinton campaign to the point of having them review articles before they were published.
  3. We learned John Podesta’s secret creamy Risotto recipe.

people-donna-brazile-and-debbie-wasserman-schultz-unethical

The leftist leadership isn’t pissed that Russia was spreading lies… but rather that Russia was spreading inconvenient truth. As far as the Democrats were concerned the problem, the travesty, was that the voters had too much (true) information at hand when they voted.

To be blunt; the release of this information was a service to the American people. THIS is information that needed to be out there and information that the MSM was never going to look into… 1) because they were co-conspirators and 2) because they have no interest in exposing the corruption of the left.

SO… if this was the Russians? On behalf of Americans with some interest in the truth… Thank you. Please continue. And if you come up with crap like this on the GOP… or any other politician or company or organization; please, please release it also. It’s not as if we have a free-press that’s going to do their #$@%ing job anytime soon…

Conclusion:

The left is mainly mad that they were exposed for fraud, dishonesty, and possibly criminal activity. Removing as big a moron as Debbie Wasserman-Schultz from the DNC was no service to the GOP. The fact that Donna Brazil can even show her face in public is a testament to how ingrained leftist hypocrisy is. The fact that many in the main stream media still have jobs (as journalists even) exposes the bias and corruption of that estate.

I’m glad these facts were exposed, though many of us have known or at least suspected all along.

No… I’m not rooting for the Russians to have success in hacking anybody, especially when they can do some real damage. This was not one of those times. It is the job of entities to make hacks as hard as possible and I expect my government (at all levels), businesses I patronize, and organizations I support to do the Job. When incompetent, corrupt idiots fail and are exposed… I can’t help it… that’s a good thing for everyone, no matter who was responsible for taking them down.

Had the election turned out as the left expected, Russia would still be the pas see villains of the 80s. This nothing, this trifle that they are screaming their little head off about would have remained what it is… little or nothing to it.

meme-nostalgic-pity-trainWatching the left’s reaction to the 2016 has been a mixed bag. Most of all we are seeing a full frontal display of the core essence that make up the leftist mindset; immaturity, violence, hatred, narcissism, denial, self-absorption, and entitlement.

It is telling that Washington is spending millions in preparation of the rabble that will soon be swarming the city to protest Trumps inauguration. They have no choice given the violence and millions of dollars of damage done thus far by “protesters”. But note this… While I’m sure this is a banner year, Washington has to spend this kind of money and does this kind of prep EVERY time a Republican takes the oval office (since Nixon). Every time a Democrat is sworn in… the cost and prep is minimal in comparison. Again, it’s telling…

The main thing we are seeing is the left lashing out like wounded animals or exhibiting the first two stages of grief/loss (denial and anger). They latch on to anything and everything to blame and explain what they cannot fathom. Villains and scapegoats abound; Jim Comey, Russian Hackers, Fake News, the Electoral College, and the oldie, goodie, tried and true… racism of the winners and the unwashed who put them there.

They know there must be an explanation of the loss of Hillary Clinton to Donald Trump. Like O.J. searching for the real killers… they will look everywhere… everywhere except at a Party/ideology out of touch OR a flawed candidate with a flawed message.

I am actually somewhat grateful for the childish display; because for the rest of America it is confirming. Maybe not so much that Donald Trump is the right man at the right time to bring us back from the brink… but that the left isn’t, never was and never will be.

So I’m going to write a few posts on what I’m observing concerning the various aspects of this leftist lashing out, grasping, and blaming.

So let’s get started…

The Electoral College

Let’s start with the Electoral College since it is pretty prominent on the list and relevant since they actually vote tomorrow (Monday 12/19/16).

The Electoral College was one of the first villains latched onto by the flailing left.

electoral-college-map

Again exposing the hypocrisy of the left, if the results had been as they expected (and predicted), Hillary winning the Electoral College and losing the popular vote, the left would be extolling the virtues and protections provided by the institution provided by the founding fathers. The left has no fondness for the popular vote, the electoral college or even democracy. They only care about power which they believe they are entitled to.

As punishment for not falling into leftist lockstep, some on the left say the Electoral College must be eliminated and the Presidency decided by popular vote. The electoral college after all is… wait for it… racist. (And you wonder why people roll their eyes when this crap is spouted again and again and again.)

But wait! The left isn’t really sure whether they should attack or embrace the Electoral College (at least for now). On one hand, they instinctively attack it because those numbers didn’t go their way… so it must be abolished. At the same time, they are saying “Wait! the Electoral College IS a safety valve put in place to stop this very thing (Trumps election), so that sane minds could override the ignorant electorate.” Thus the organized efforts to get enough electors to switch and deny Trump the needed count.

Case in point, Martin Sheen (and various other actors from “The West Wing”) produced a video seeking to get electors to change their votes, stating (as a group)…

“Republican members of the Electoral College, this message is for you. As you know, our Founding Fathers built the Electoral College to safeguard the American people from the dangers of a demagogue and to ensure that the presidency only goes to someone who is to an eminent degree and down with the requisite qualifications. I’m not asking you to vote for Hillary Clinton — just don’t vote for Trump… As you know, the Constitution gives electors the right to vote for any eligible person. Any eligible person — no matter which party they belong to. By voting your conscience, you and other brave Republican electors can give the House of Representatives the option to select a qualified candidate for the presidency… What is evident is that Donald Trump lacks more than the qualifications to be president. He lacks the necessary stability and clearly the respect for the Constitution of our great nation….

See… right there, that’s insulting. The balls it takes for a bunch of leftist actors to turn to the Constitution (which they pretty well detest) as the means of thwarting an election is phenomenal. But using the charge that the man who won is unfit because he lacks “respect for the Constitution of our great nation” is beyond the pale. To make this assertion after supporting Barack Hussein Obama for eight %^$#ing years! Hypocrites one and all!

Obama - Standing on Constitution

Sheen (and his ilk) pledge that anyone who votes their way will go “down in the books as an American hero,” will “have my respect.”

Which gets back to a basic biblical truth electors should consider. If the world loves you, you are of the world. The last thing I would want would be the admiration and respect of these shallow, worldly, @ssholes. They’re not interested in you, justice, democracy, or the Constitution; they just want power for their side.

So my stance is… let the left scream, stomp, curse, knash their teeth, rend their garments, and show their collective @sses… well, I mean more than usual… Once this little scheme fails (tomorrow 12/18/16), they’ll be ready to toss aside the evil, racist, Electoral College that just a breath ago was designed to “safeguard the American people”.

Side Note: In fact, the Electoral College was put in place as a compromise to get the small states (what would have been fly-over country back then) to approve the Constitution. Without it, those states would have been ignored in the grand scheme of national elections and politics. AND those (very valid) concerns should still worry fly-over country today. Luckily the Electoral College is literally Constitutional, making it nie-impossible to be rid of it. Good.

polls-states-2016Narayana Kocherlakota of Bloomberg just wrote a piece reprimanding the public for complaining that the polls were wrong in the 2016 Presidential election. Obviously we’re idiots who don’t understand what polls are and how statistics work. We seem to “confuse (statistical) forecasts with fortune-telling”.

Ahhh… it’s all our fault for not being as smart at Narayana Kocherlakota and other “expert” pollsters.

After informing us of our failures of intellect, Narayana then uses a sport analogy to try and educate us about how statistics works, then he offers another on a business decision concerning advertising, and finally a real life example of how Hillary Clinton used polls to decide not to campaign in Wisconsin.

His final point is that polls are really just a tool used by the campaigns and can’t be right 100% of the time, so we should just get over it. Move along… nothing to see here…

The key mistake Narayana makes in his attempt to inform and educate the idiotic public is that he doesn’t address our actual complaint. One that’s been around for years on the right, and that the left is getting a taste of now that it bit them on the posterior. The obvious question is why does Narayana not address the real complaint? Does he not know or does he just choose to ignore it? Both are indefensible.

So… in an attempt to educate Narayana… We, the public, are not pissed that the polls were wrong. We are pissed at WHY the polls were wrong. Why being that the science behind statistics and probability is constantly diluted with bias and opinion so as to produce bad results and an inferior product.

Statistics and probability are indeed used by the campaigns. They are also presented to the public as information/news. These two sets of polls are (obviously) separate products; one used to make decisions and one used as a form of news to be presented and consumed. It is the later product that the public been consumed and reviewed to be of poor quality. Consumers have a habit of doing that with products; just check out Amazon. We have also issued our complaint as to what we think is wrong with the product only to be ignored (and from looks of it will continue to be ignored at Bloomberg).

polls-opinion

To offer proof of my point that the product (polls offered as news) are inferior when it doesn’t have to be, let me follow Narayana’s example and offer a real life illustration.

In the waning days of the election, the Clinton campaign put all of its efforts (Hillary, Obama, Bill, etc…) in states like Michigan and Pennsylvania. These are blue states, not toss-ups. These are states that always have been safe Democratic strongholds. And the polls indicated they would remain so in this election… ALWAYS forcasting a Clinton lead from day one.

If the Clinton campaign used these news polls as a tool to make campaign decisions, they would have marked them in the safe column and concentrated on toss-up states… but they didn’t. WHY? Because they didn’t use these news polls. They used their campaign polls. When they used unbiased and un-opinionated statistics (or pure science if you will), it told them something completely different. Their actions proved one thing… THEY KNEW the polls for public consumption were wrong.

So if the campaign polls were managed well enough to tell Hillary she was in trouble in safe blue states, it proves that it is possible to execute the science of statistics in a manner that produces more reliable and sound results. Given that fact it is easy to conclude that the Main Stream Media (including Bloomberg) is making a conscience decision NOT to do that; not to provide a superior product.

And for that, they have been called out… and deservedly so.

I can’t help but give a few drive-by TexasLynn insights into the Trump 2016 Presidential victory.

First, to reiterate, I was not a Trump supporter (as many who read my blog know). I was even less of a Hillary supporter, and slightly less for Johnson (Libertarian), and Stein (Nutso/Green).

Trump’s election is the worst possible outcome… except for all the rest.

(See the conclusion of where we go from here…)

trump-probability-2016

What Trump’s Election Means:
The following is a bullet point list of what Donald Trumps’ election means; what those who put him in office are trying to say to the world and to their leaders. There seems to be

  1. This is a repudiation of multiculturalism
  2. This is a repudiation of globalization (same as the Brexit vote)
  3. This is a repudiation of the establishment elites (GOP, Democrats, Media, Hollywood, Silicon Valley, etc…)
  4. This is a repudiation of Obama and his legacy (see more below)
  5. This is a repudiation of Clinton (all things Clinton)
  6. This is a repudiation of the status quo (see change below)
  7. This is a primal scream for change… CHANGE! (Can you hear me now?!)

What Trump’s Election Doesn’t Mean:
Lest we read into this what we want…

  1. This is not an embrace of conservatism (Donald Trump and his policies are not conservative)
  2. This is not a repudiation of liberalism (I wish it was…)

newspaper-trump-winsWhy He Won:
Elections are more and more divisions of urban vs. rural mindsets. That’s bad news for us rural guys. We’re outnumbered and it’s only going to get worse. Our only hope for influence is for the urban turnout to be muted and for rural turnout to be impassioned. If urban turnout is average or better… it doesn’t matter what we do… they win. Luckily urban turnout is often muted in off-year elections and that, I think, is what happened here. Normal urban voters (particularly blacks) were not inspired by Hillary.

Hillary Knew:
Now this is hindsight, but I really should have seen the signs that a Trump victory was in the works. In my defense, that is hard to do with the entirety of the main stream media (MSM) (and to a lesser extent the minute conservative media); screaming “it’s a done deal”.

There were three signs in the past few days indicating that Trump was likely to win and that Hillary (including her campaign, and the Obama administration) knew it.

  1. Hillary canceled the fireworks over New York. She would not have done that had she not known there was trouble ahead.
  2. (And this is the big one) Every big name Democrat (Obama, Hillary, Bill, Biden, etc…) were campaigning in blue states the last few days of the election. That (in hindsight) was a desperate defensive play (and the proof that they knew). It would have been like Trump having to come and campaign in Texas. If you as a Republican must defend Texas, all is lost. If you, as a Democrat have to defend Michigan or Pennsylvania… all is lost.
  3. (And this is the most consistent bellwether one) TexasLynn thought it was without a doubt going to be a Clinton victory. TexasLynn is never (or at best seldom) right about these things. 🙂

hugsBringing the Nation Together:
Everybody is talking about how, now, the future President must try to bring the nation together. It sounds nice, and both sides of the aisle like to say and hear it. But, really… As a nation, we’re just too divided. I’m just not that interested in pretending.

Obama and the left may have parroted the words early in 2008, but you dam sure didn’t see them doing something as stupid as acting on it. I’m OK with that. “Elections have consequences.” Say the words, but do what you got to do.

Want to be the first to extend the olive branch? Want to hope we can have less rancor and demonization on both sides of the aisle? OK, make the offer. I just don’t see it as even in the nature of the left. So work together and actually compromise where you can… but other than that… push on.

Left - Liberal - Rabid - Hate AmericaThe Left:
This is one of the few times every few years that I make an effort to watch the MSM. I admit the guilty pleasure of watching them rend their garments and lash out at the uneducated, unwashed, racist, sexist, backwards, basket of deplorables… who just gave them a screwing.

The left over the past eight years has celebrated unconstitutional dictates from the oval office with the excuse that “if Congress won’t act then the President must/should”. Do they still hold that view? If you are changing these types of views dependent upon if you’re guy holds the office, then 1) you’re an idiot and 2) you’re a hypocrite.

Is there some glimmer of hope that the left will actually return to supporting the checks and balances between the three branches of government (if they ever did)? Sure… for four/eight years… but can we ever hope they’ll have the wisdom to see this is the way we should always govern. I admit my doubts that they can make that leap.

Also… get ready for real leftist contortions. In just two short months, the idea that “opposition is racist” will transform into “opposition is virtuous”.

People - Obama, Barack - Mickey Mouse EarsObama:
Trump’s election pretty well cements the legacy of Obama as a failure. This didn’t have to be the case, but was a political decision made by Obama (and the left) during his tenure. Law (passed by Congress and signed by the President) is law. Executive orders and fiats, with the stroke of a pen endure (or wiped away) just as easily by the next guy. If it’s your guy/gal, you’re golden; if not, it’s the bed you made.

If you choose to govern in this manner, you risk your legacy being wiped away (like with a cloth or something) in the same manner by the next administration. And… it should be. If you choose not to work within the framework of the Constitution, then your policy deserves the same respect (or lack thereof) you afforded the rule of law.

Obama’s signature accomplishment, Obamacare, too should suffer a similar fate (as his executive fiats). While actually passed by Congress (into law), it was done so with no opposition input, was by design deceptive, and once in practice a disaster. It should be ripped up by the roots and thrown on the ash heap of history. That said, it will be up to Trump and the Republicans to come up with something that actually works and helps. Let’s see if they can do any better.

So that’s Obama’s legacy. A repudiation of pretty well eight years of trudging along at best. Eight years of the world getting more and more dangerous for America and her interests. The man was a boob, and history will record him as such.

people-clinton-bill-and-hillaryHillary and Bill:
Hillary and Bill Clinton are co-conspirators in an organized crime ring; selling influence and worse from the State Department for many years. The Clinton Foundation was the means of access, the means of funneling, and the means of laundering the money.

“When the director of the F.B.I. laid bare her gross negligence for arrogantly setting up her own email system while secretary of state and announced there would be no prosecution, you could hear the heavens thunder for justice. Not since O.J. Simpson had someone so obviously guilty by the facts, walked away.” — Kevin Dowd, Maureen Dowd’s more conservative brother

But we have a tradition of peaceful transition of power. We do not jail our opponents after an election. We should err on the side of freeing the guilty in order to maintain that practice.

My advice for Trump is to let the justice system (the FBI) run its course with no interference or input on his part.

Now the Obama Justice Department has rigged the system and protected the Clintons so far. That obstruction needs to be rectified once Lynch is gone. One of the main impediments put in place is the DOJ refusal of allowing a grand jury to be seated; which gives more leverage in investigating wrong-doing.

cartoon-bill-and-lynch-back-scratching

FBI director Comey has been an idiot throughout this whole ordeal, BUT… if it is Trump’s gut feel that Comey has been on the up-and-up… then I would allow him (and more importantly the career FBI investigators) to continue the investigation into the Clinton Foundation.

But, to be honest, we’ve reached a point where a special prosecutor needs to pick this up and bring it to a conclusion. Trump should seek Democratic input in this process (like selecting someone as impartial as possible) as an olive branch. If they refuse, or (as is more likely) seek to demagogue and obfuscate the process then %$#@ them, and move forward making the process as honest and transparent as possible.

So.. make sure the process is fair and let it take its course. While that works its way through the system… Shut up about it until the results are in and then live with those results (no matter what they are) and move on.

sign-hillary-for-prison

Now assuming there were an indictment (and/or conviction) in the future. And I understand that’s a big IF. There is already talk of a pardon. That’s the President’s call… BUT I would say that no pardon should be on the table unless there were some public admission of guilt and some display of contrition.

All of this may be mute based on the fact that President Barack Hussein Obama still has two plus months left in office. I wouldn’t put anything past that man…

The time left in the Clinton’s allotment of fame (well beyond the 15 minutes of mere mortals) are not going to be pleasant ones. Not for the public, not for them. Nor should they be… (the heavens want what they want). But even Clinton’s supporters, apologists, and protectors wish they would just go away now… so quickly they turn on you when you fail them…

“The Clintons remind me of the Universal horror movies where you thought the monster was dead and then the monster would show up in a bad sequel. I’m glad now that they’re finally gone.” — Maureen Dowd, New York Times

The Market:
Dow futures were down 600-700 points the night of the election when it became obvious that Trump had won. By this morning, everything had stabilized. Why? Because the conjecture arose that NOW the Federal Reserve will not raise interest rates.

stock-market-bubble

This is further proof that the entire 18K stock market is built on a bubble of artificially low interest rates (the horrendous Fed policy). This basically means for almost a decade the Federal government has kept money cheap so as to make it possible to maintain huge deficits. All this on the backs of people who save and are retired (aka, the responsible). It’s is delinquent and immoral.

It will hurt (the economy). It will hurt a lot. But this needs to be rectified… before it’s too late.

The Polls:
In the last Presidential cycle (Obama/Romney), I didn’t believe the polls and they ended up being right. (I found it inconceivable that we would elect such a boob for President… TWICE.) This time, I believed the polls (partly because of their accuracy last time) AND they were wrong. (I think they fell for the same bias I did last time.)

A good half or more of the polls are less concerned with accuracy than with pushing voters in a particular (mostly left) direction. A few are actually interested in the scientific prediction of what is statistically likely to happen. Unfortunately, it is generally hard to know which is which. (Though if you see an MSM tag on one… you can pretty well easily classify and dismiss it.)

OK, so the polls were wrong this time, and giving them the benefit of the doubt (on bias), why were they so wrong?

polls-opinion

The theory I am most apt to believe is that their samples were corrupted by the distrust and disdain conservatives and Trump supporters have for the main stream media and by extension the polls.

I’ll admit it right now. If a pollster approached me, the first thing I would want to know is who he was affiliated with… and the answer to THAT question would affect my answers to his questions. No answer to my question on affiliation equals no answer to his; and any association to the MSM will likely result in me either 1) refusing to participate or 2) lying to them. The increasing prevalence of this attitude makes it harder and harder for these guys to gather the data their models are so dependent on.

I hope this is the reason, and I hope this problem continues.

Conclusion:
Again, I will follow the lead of others and start with a clean slate. I’ll do my best to maintain an open mind and allow Trump to lead and govern. I hope he turns things around, since I and a majority of this nation think we are headed in the wrong direction. As we move forward, I’ll call balls and strikes as I see ‘em… I hope that four years from now, I am a Trump convert.

I can’t claim to be optimistic, but I can give my hopes and prayers to the man. God speed…

An article I recently read on a leftist website (I think it was Slate) referenced Trump as neo-fascist and Hillary as neo-liberal (they added globalist). I would have to disagree with both labels.

People - Hillary and Trump

It’s not as if I’m against labels. I throw them around all the time (just watch); but I generally like my adjectives to mean something… to be accurate with some modicum of logic to back them up.

Fascism - No Free ThinkingTo begin with; Trump is not a fascist. It’s actually absurd that the left would have the insolence to make such a charge given the literally fascist tactics of their minions (see below). I guess their “logic” is that national racism is fascist (actually a valid historical argument); but their assertion that Trump is a racist for wanting to secure the border is (to be blunt) idiotic. Even Trumps assertion that we should curtail Muslim immigration and entry into the country is valid given the demographic of terrorist shooting up offices and trying to blow $#@$% up. And to deny that demographic is again… (to be blunt) idiotic.

Now, Trump IS a nationalist. (See “Make America Great Again” at the expense of other nations who have taken advantage of our stupid leaders.) And granted, the two great examples of fascism in the 20th century were heavily nationalist; but the two mindsets are separate and distinct. And the fascist used nationalism as a means to an end (dictatorships). This may explain the confusion, though I think those who label Trump (or the right, or conservatives, or the GOP) as fascist haven’t really given it much thought. Fascist (to them) is anything they are not.

StatismA more apt comparison to great (as in worldly impact) fascist regimes would be that they were statist (advocating a doctrine of giving a centralized government control over economic planning and policy). Socialist dictator Benito Mussolini extolled “All within the state, nothing outside the state, nothing against the state.” Sound familiar? Sound like the direction of a certain political movement within the United States?

Obama - Extreme Founders

Trump isn’t even that close to being a fascist when you consider many leftist organizations.

You want to see fascism in the United States…

Look at the likes of Black Lives Matter and the racial “social justice” movement with college professors calling for “muscle” (brown shirts) to come and take care of a pesky student reporter.

Look at the LGBT movement, that seeks not solutions or compromise but to force-feed an agenda that if not embraced invokes intimidation and ostracism, and financial ruin.

People - Lerner, Lois - IRS Brown Shirt - Fascist MustacheLook at the IRS that systematically targets their ideological foes (conservatives) and then manages to obfuscate any inquiry into the matter (with help from their ideological partners in crime). The ringleader (Lois Lerner) retires with a full pension while her bosses continue the charade that there is nothing to see here… move along…

Look at the environmental movement which fabricates “scientific” results, forms peer tribunals and seeks to destroy (the careers) of anyone who does not bend a knee. Look at those who invoke “settled science” in attempts to quash debate or news organization with official policies to censor contending views or evidence. Look at government officials (mostly district and state attorneys) who seek to use their official positions to punish and prosecute dissenters.

Look at the thugs and anarchist “protesting” Trump and conservative venues not so much interested in making a statement but to shut down free speech and intimidate. They figuratively wear the black turtlenecks (Italian) and brown shirts (German) of the liberal gestapo.

And finally… look at our President (a Constitutional scholar) with such disdain for the rule of law that he passes on decrees like a despot from a banana republic using federal funding as the cudgel of enforcement.

Capitalism - Unbridled - Monopoly Man with GunsThe fact that all of these fascist leaning movements are to the left should come as no surprise (to anyone who studies history). Fascism is historically a leftist inclination. The fact that Mussolini and the German National Socialist were extreme leftist and socialist is no coincidence. History (and decades of propaganda) have taught the world that fascism and communism are two opposite extremes (one left and one right). They’re not. They’re both kissing cousins of the left. Unbridled capitalism (also bad) would be the opposite extreme of communism (and fascism) on the right.

And finally… in “defense” of Hillary; she is not a neo-liberal in that “neo” infers “new”. Barack Obama could better be labeled neo-liberal, but even his policies produce roughly the same $#@%. Hillary’s brand of progressivism is anything but new; in fact it is very old-school. Hillary’s liberalism is the perfect example of where the leftist mindset leads; statism, cronyism, incompetence, and corruption.

Concept - Liberal - Progressive - Still a Turd

As a nation we’re screwed either way. American fascist have been setting the agenda (and producing absurd results) for so long they have created a backlash in the form of irrational nationalism. Of course the “loyal opposition” in the form of the GOP being *&%^-less during all that time didn’t help matters.

America IslamiphobicA Self-Evident Truth:
The media is throwing a hissy-fit over recent comments by Dr. Ben Carson that “I would not advocate that we put a Muslim in charge of this nation. I absolutely would not agree with that. If [a president’s faith is] inconsistent with the values and principles of America, then of course it should matter.”

Ben Carson is exactly right. A Muslim commander in chief would be a travesty for this nation. Further, the incompatibility would endanger its very existence.

I believe the media (and even some conservatives) missed the point of Dr. Carson and lamented that he should learn a little civics. This included Senator Ted Cruz (of Texas) who said “You know, the Constitution specifies there shall be no religious test for public office and I am a constitutionalist”.

Carson did not address whether or not Muslims should not have the right to run for the office. He simply made two points.
1. We (the voters) should not put a Muslim in charge of the nation.
2. It the candidate’s faith is inconsistent with the values and principles of America (which Islam is) then that should matter in the selection of our leader.

Both points are not only true, they are self-evidently so… or at least should be.

Antithetical:
Islam is antithetical to democracy and freedom. It’s very nature seeks to destroy any system that is not Islamic. It is a religion of subjugation and slavery; and not so much your submission and slavery to Allah, but to those who would set themselves up to define who/what Allah is… thus by it’s very nature Islam promotes fascism, totalitarianism, and oppression.

But it goes beyond just the U.S., Islam’s morals and mores are antithetical to western civilization as a whole. Just the basics of civil rights, slavery, pedophilia, and murder prove the two are incompatible. It is probably too late for Europe to realize or reverse the damage of this cold hard fact. “Mass immigration by Muslims is altering the culture of Europe because Muslims don’t join the culture of their new homelands. Muslims do not so much enhance European culture as supplant it, and are patiently conquering Europe’s cities, street by street”. (paraphrasing author Christopher Caldwell)

Protecting the Republic:
So, If we (the people, the voters) are to protect the principles upon which our nation (and civilization itself) was founded, then no… No Muslim (defined as “a follower of the religion of Islam”) should be allowed anywhere near the Presidency. And as if by prophetic warning, we’ve already seen first-hand the damage one who simply identifies with Muslim culture can do.

Does that mean that no Muslim should be allowed to run for office (any office). No… freedom and democracy demand it. They should just never be elected. If we are that stupid; if we are that willing to open the gates to the invading hordes who seek to destroy us (and we may be); we deserve what we get.

Attacking the messenger of an obvious truth such as this is just a tactic of the hordes who threaten our freedom.

Immigration:
I will also go one step further… In fact, considering Europe, Islam should be a mitigating factor within our immigration policy. These hard truths and resolutions to address them may seem harsh… and by western standards, they are. But they are far less harsh than what the true followers of Mohammed have planned for us (long and short term).

The leftist administration is planning on importing tens of thousands of Muslim refugees into this nation. This process will include screening each for diseases such as tuberculosis. Shouldn’t we screen for another sickness just as dangerous (if not more so) to our very existence?

Texas is a state that sees great population growth. Why? Because we still understand the principles that made this nation great. So we produce jobs and grow at the expense of those states that have abandoned those founding principles. Thus a common refrain from Texans is “Welcome to Texas, try not to screw it up like the place you just left”. Is it too much to ask Muslims who are fleeing a cesspool to abandon and denounce the very %$#* that made it a cesspool.

Hillary Clinton just announced that she will indeed run for the office of President of the United States. I think her campaign slogan should be “At this point, what difference does it make”… but I don’t think she’ll use it. I suspect her campaign will be based on “income inequality” so as to hopefully tact far enough left to dissuade the likes of another Obama (like Elizabeth lying cow Warren) from running.

I think the Republicans will have a chance against her. I even think I prefer her as the Socialist Democratic candidate over many others (with the exception of Joe Biden). 🙂

Of course my support of the Republican candidate is not a foregone conclusion. I don’t even consider it likely this year. The slogan mention earlier is pretty well apt for both parties…
